Yes, you'll need to increase the voltage to the cpu. You're already upping the FSB to 234 try increasing the voltage 0.02V until you can stabilize 238 FSB. 775 overclocking is fairly straightforward, if your FSB gets too high you may have to adjust the DRAM ratio so the ram doesnt try running at 600MHz and blow up.

Try this:
Set FSB to 240
Increase voltage by 0.05V
Lower DRAM ratio one step(ie. if it was running at 400Mhz lower it to 333Mhz).

yea i had the same problems with ram too, i think its the same reason i'm having the limit with my amd build atm. but yea i lowered the ratio by quite a bit and got my 2.8 pent d to 3.5. so you should be able to get a 2.4 to 3.0 or 3.2 just fine. I think i ended up with a 250bus, but my multi was 14 locked so that's how i got the 3.5, at 12 you'll get 3ghz, so you might have to do 266x12. might have to up voltages as well, and maybe direct a fan on the chipset

I could not find the DRAM frequency section of my BIOS. I did change the voltage and FSB, but I dont know about that DRAM. Also, if i go to say, 250 FSB, it will boot the system, but in Windows, it fails. Plz help.

What is the exact voltage? 1.3v? Try 1.36V and 250 FSB.

I tried finding BIOS screen shots to help, but it's such an old board I cant find anything. Anyways the general overclocking procedure I listed above is sound. Increase FSB, increase voltage(small amounts), and make sure your ram isn't running crazy high.

You may have to increase the ram voltage or even the North Bridge voltage if you have those options. Remember, when overclocking you'll need to cool your heatsinks. Check your airflow.

The CPU is running at 1.525 volts, stock. My RAM is at stock too. I will try what you said and get back to you.

Ok so raise your Voltage to 1.56 and set the FSB to 245. Hopefully your ram can auto adjust to the best frequency.

Ok, so I did the SuperPi tests sucessfully, and now I want to know how I can go. Also, how much of an performance increase have I gotten from 2.86 to 2.95?

Thanks,

Best way to determine how much of a performance increase you have gained is through a benchmark.

I like WPrime myself, do a quick run at each stage and the difference is a relative improvement.

Ok, so after getting to starting the first CPU test in 3dMark03, it gave me a blue screen, and rebooted. I set it back to stock for now, just to be safe, but how am I going to stabely and safely use my CPU, overclocked?

Thanks,
