i have encouter an issue while flashing my OCPC RX580 8gb gpu. if someone have a copy of the original vbios it will be very helpfull.

Those Chinese Polaris cards come in many flavors. Remove the heatsink, make a clear photo of the PCB where we can see the description on the memory chips.

ok I will send you the photo shortly

I have the CPU-Z screens too

do not consider the frequencies displayed for the GPU clock, they are not the original ones

Can you make a full picture of the PCB? GPU Clock speeds looks fine

This vbios will likely work on that PCB:

thank you i will try this one

the gpu seem to work fine now but no display on gpu hdmi

Dont use the latest version of amdvbflash. It will cause problems with Polaris card
Only use version 2.93 for Polaris card. Can you reflash the previous vbios with amdvbflash 2.93?

If the output still doesnt work, can you flash this vbios?

ok i will try this one with the 2.93 version

nothing i get some eror with the 2.93 version when i manage to bypass errors after flashing i always have the same issue.

Can you share the error?

This is not an RX 580. Like any other counterfeit from China it doesn't even actually use the processor that an RX 580 2048SP or 570 should use.

215-0876204 is the code used on a RX 470's Polaris 10 core. This is likely why no BIOS seems to work.

Can't see too well on mobile but if your memory chips are Samsung ending in FB, this bios might work

What strikes me as odd is that OP is using this refurbished Chinese mining junk on a socket AM5 machine? Why?

Read the title of the thread. He mentioned it is a RX 580 2048SP. Also the bioses provided are RX 580 2048SP.

The bioses provided should be compatible with his PCB. The real question is, is the card stable with those clock speeds since the GPU is not as the same grade as a real RX 580 2048SP.

PCB is not the problem I believe, it's the GPU core itself. Thread title is rather meaningless since this is an unlicensed counterfeit rather than any real valid GPU configuration, which is kind of the problem here.

It's a GPU that I've had for a while so I installed it while I bought another one.

I'm going to try this new Vbios and I'll get back to you

this is what i get from Videocardz as initial specs of my card .

Dont flash the MSI RX470 bios since it is ment for a different PCB. See https://videocardz.net/msi-radeon-rx-470-8gb-armor-oc and compare it with your PCB.
They are not equal and will likely cause issues.

I am not sure which version you can use under Ubuntu but under Windows you can only use 2.93 for your card. Never versions have issues and dont allow you to execute a forced flash.

Where to download AMDVBFlash 2.93? https://www.techpowerup.com/download/ati-atiflash/ -> Show older versions

ok i will go back to windows to try

nothing to do i get the same error

it's the same error as on linux but ok I'll send you the screen

That's what you don't get. There's no official PCB for a counterfeit card, which means there's no bios for it either. It's a Hail Mary of what works and what doesn't, also why does it even need to be flashed for!

Using a bios that isn't intended for your GPU core, if it works at all, is even worse.

On Nvidia the most notorious case of this was flashing a GK110B-based GTX 780 VBIOS into an older GK110-based model. You'd have to force flash it and it would certainly result in a brick; roughly equal but not the same core.

That's also what makes these mined Chinese counterfeits so wacky. They just get dead mining refuse and separate cards that have the least damage to the core and memory, in some cases retouch them with some paint to hide the heat discoloration and apply them indiscriminately on a generic PCB, resulting in Frankensteins like this unit.

But the 2048 shader cards were a proper release in China, even though the normal 580s are 2304. It's basically a 570, but AMD did this IIRC.

Yes, but that's not what I'm saying. Google the ASIC P/N from the picture, it's a RX 470 core. The 470D, 570 and 580 2048SP have different ASIC subtypes. Not all GPUs are made equal even if their shader config otherwise is. You've seen this most recently on AMD with Navi 21.

I agree to disagree. There is never a RX570/RX580 reference card sold. All manufactures released their owns PCB for those cards.

The card was likely part of a PandaMiner B7 Pro mining rig. So PandaMiner has a mining bios for it! ;)
See https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/258275/258275 and https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/threads/any-bios-fit-for-pandaminer-b7-pro.300878/

Bioses with the same string "D00033 580S A1" and Samsung K4G80325FB support:
https://www.google.com/search?q="D00033+580S+A1"+K4G80325FB+site:www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/

If those bioses dont work, you can always look up with "D00033 Polaris20 XL A1":
