Hi guys I have a question...
I had some ocz rams on the closet for a year thought they didnt work...
so I thought I give them one last chance cleaned the connectors with alcohol and a miracle... they booted and not just booted they even managed to start at their max speed and that has been impossible even then when i bought them...
but I have a little information need...
they call themselves ocz xtc sli edition 1066 ddr2 2gb kit
in the enhanced performance profile it says I need 2.3 volts for them
But one of the 2 kit rams wont boot up 2.3 volts actually its like that if set in bios 2.1 volts then in everest reports 2.22 and if I set 2.2 in bios then everest reports 2.32 and thats allready over the epp spec and over evp limit.
but one ram does seem to work with 2.2(everest 2.32) no problems whatsoever...
so wich voltage reading should I believe bios or everest and does one ram has less tolerance then the other or there are some other problems?
motherboard is asus p5e
ocz rams are now running ddr2 1066mhz(5-5-5-15)bios volts 2.1 everest reports 2.22
I´ll add an exact name - OCZ XTC SLI OCZ2N10661G
I hope someone has some knowledge on this:)

i would beleave youe bios but if it was mine i would run it with lower voltage and test it to see if i get any errors. sorry to say the second set is dead :(

You might need to flash the SPD, check on the OCZ forums.

I found out that my ocz rams are overheating and I think Thrackan you are right that spd is spitting out shit cause when I try to use epp from bios menu it supposed to start 1066 mhz but it starts with 804 mhz and with some weird timings and more weird if i set voltage to auto everest reports me 2.27 volts for dimm actually manually I lowered the volts:D
I added 80 mm fan one the side one of them heating up cause the other blocks airflow and its next to the cpu one of them is getting a littlebit bigger beating.
So for now everything seems to be fine no blue screen page fault in nonpaged area...
thanks to Thrackan I didnt even know I could edit spd data I will look into it...

OCZ has some series of RAM that are notorious for faulty SPD settings. Hope you can fix it :)
