I've had more trouble with ocz products then any other brand,, I tend to look at other brands first. sad because they used to be my first choice.

thats unfortunate. i've had the opposite - i've had some ram die (but i've had ram die from all brands) - but OCZ were always really good on warranty. all my OCZ PSU's (never modular) are still going strong, even a pre-release powerstream 520W i got years ago for review is powering a friends system perfectly. (and voltages all within spec, most PSU' that old had capacitors die long ago)

Same here, nothing but great experiences for me. Using their ram & psu's. No conflicts with their ram & no failures of either.

How is 1.65v low voltage when there are tons of 1.5v kits out there not being marketed as such ?

i normally complain about that in every thread.

companies release 1.5v modules and no one cares, yet they label 1.65v kits low voltage (the maximum for i5/i7 platforms, so its hardly LOW) and make a big fuss over it...

. “The new OCZ Black Edition modules not only interact with AOD to overclock the memory, but also communicate with the BIOS to increase the frequency and performance of the memory controller. The result is a symbiotic relationship between memory and the rest of the system to unleash the full power of the Dragon Platform.”
Can someone explain this part to me please ?

Those Black Edition Memory Profiles effect NB (Mem Controller) too? Not just the memory speed goes up but BIOS overclocks the NB when Profile is enabled? That's what I think.

After all, the NB clock IS the key to performance in any Phenom processor (I or II)

Because they are meant for AMD, where 1.65v IS low voltage. Im running 1.9v G.Skill 2000 in my AMD rig right now. 1.65v would be low for me.

true but all they've done here is relabelled some i5/7 ram.

No, because i5 wouldnt have AMD ram profiles. So they reprogrammed i5 modules and gave them AMD profiles instead. No just a rename.
