Has anyone heard anything about this game.
Looks like it might be pretty good.

'Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising' -- ETA: Oct. 6
For: PS3, Windows, Xbox 360

"Operation Flashpoint" could well be the game that Crytek's "Crysis" wasn't in terms of promise versus delivery.

Codemasters' "Operation Flashpoint" promises ballistically authentic weapons (more than 70 in all), naturalistic physics, a giant island modeled after the real thing with breathtaking 35-kilometer draw distances and enemy artificial intelligence capable of acting overconfidently as well as overcautiously.

I think it seems cool myself. But the graphics are kinda...idk how to explain it.

If you have played any previous Operation Flashpoint game, you know that its not just any other FPS shooter

As the name of the game indicates, sometimes you cant find the enemies, just the flash of their automatic rifles.

It's suppose to be as realistic as possible. But so was ARMAII and I heard that was "OK" lots of bug's and I heard the Multiplayer was sub-par.

I reckon it looks good and fun to play, especially 4 player coop. Right amount of realism and gameplay, not too hard, not too easy. I think I'll enjoy this.

Hopefully, they did go a little extreme with the hardest mode though. But as long as it's modable i'm sure the community with mod the hell out of it.

Different game totally how it runs is yet to be seen as this time it's their own game engine.

Anyone noticed any leaning in the game ?. All i have seen is crappy console vids. One thing i hope that is not like OFP\Arma\Arma2 is the way missions are shared meaning i hope they are not so tournys can be done as i've waiting years since we stopped making GR tournys lol.

Is there anyone playing this for PC yet? It deff runs better then Arma 2. I get 120fps with game graphics jacked up, if i do more with the card i get 70 to 90fps

Well it's going be a lot different, different game engine as this has nothing to do with the VBS1 game engine unlike Operation Flashpoint, Arma and Arma 2.

Although i am glad it plays well. Any news on the MP side of it like COOP and if the maps\missions are downloaded when you connect ?.

Its a good game, Im currently playing the 360 version. It is very realistic and pretty difficult, which may not sit well with those that like fast paced arcade action.

The fact that if your shot in the leg you cant sprint and if your shot in the arm your aim is affected is a nice touch

The graphics are very nice also

Mp on computer is good when u have alot of guys playing on a 32man server. I just hate spawning sometimes all the way back where u started lol

ATM I think it needs a patch or something. Played it for about an hour last night. I had a ghost jeep keep charging me after all occupant's had been neutralized. Took 4 M203 grenades before it finally sat there and exploded.

The Steam interface LAG'S to hell, whenever I get an alert, it times out. MP game's won't even connect, just loads over and over.

The physic's are a tad off, I noticed that Jeep's just roll...and roll...and roll without taking any damage?? Flew off a cliff, did a flip and just kept on driving....right.

But a couple patch's and it should be tip top. Compared to ArmaII no idea, since I didn't buy it waiting for this..but I'm hearing it is a lot better.

Does it run okay on your rig(bugs aside)? What graphics options you using? Any aa?

Yea it runs flawlessly. 8XAA, max Res 1600x1050, all effect's at high. And it was smooth, no problem's at all.
