Is anyone interested in a pwm fan controller with thermal feedback that would be able to control 10a (aprox 20 120mm fans)? I'm going to build a prototype and see how it works out. I'm going to hook all the case fans in my system to it and reference off the cpu (hottest component). It is adjustable to the point that the start of the climb and the hysteresis will be adjustable.

Specs:

*30khz PWM modulation
*12v 10a control
*Small 1x1" pcb with pigtail interconnects
*2-way adjustable thermal feedback.



Any input or ideas?

Should be a fairly simple circuit with a transistor and thermistor, and possibly a rheostat or potentiometer to calibrate it. Sounds simple I'm quite rusty - haven't designed any circuits for almost a decade.

No, it uses an IC containing the comparator, oscillator, PWM, and totem-pole mosfet drive circuits all in one. It's not a piece of junk passive variable resistor with a transistor as a current follower like most of the crap I see out there. It does not require a heatsink. This is a -real- PWM motor controller and extremely accurate, yet relatively inexpensive, For a few dollars more it's quite capable of controlling 50 or more fans.
