It's on it way

Order up a Opt 170 for my ECS ex480-a, found a revised bios that supports the opt processors I will post my results.

It works

Everything runs fine with my denmark 170. mainboard recognizes it as dual core opteron. Not overclocking it yet but that coming wil try to push it to the 2.4ghz level. Now waiting on a HD2600 xt 512mb DDR to hit the shelf at newegg or tigerdirect or mwav. The only places i have experience or had friends buy at. As soon as i get the card i will get you some numbers and post

I wouldnt consider going to 2.4ghz "pushing it". If I had a 170 and didnt reach 3.0ghz + (which I run on my opty 165) I would be upset. If your going to push it go to 2700-3000.

Where did you find the modded bios?? I picked up the rx480-a for $25 bucks and I want to put my Opty170 in it..
