Hi,
I am new to this forum. I recently bought a Sapphire X1800XT but cant seem to Overclock it. It is running on the stock cooling. I used the ATI tools .25 beta version but it only shows the 2D mode speed. But i need to oc the 3D mode speed.
I have also tried using the ATI Overdrive but it locks up anything above the default setting.
I have also tried the small tool given by ATI (i think) it wrks but the best i can teach is from 625/750 to 640/775, anything more and the screen is filled with artifacts. But according to the reviews this card can reach 700/800. How do i do that reach 700/800.

0.25 beta 11 disables the 3d mode functionality .. so the card will work like it has only one clock speed, if you change that to whatever you want that will be the frequency the card is running at at all times

Its still not working
I find my default speed at 600/700 but when i click find max core speed it goes upto 610 and then starts falling rapidly due to artifacts.
The card ran fine on the default 625/750 for 9 hours of FEAR at full settings and no problem.
So wht should i do.

dont use artifact scanning, it doesnt work reliably on the cards.. use the good old method of set clock, launch game, look for artifacts, repeat
