Overriding resolution (AMD)

Exactly my thoughts. Did you mean 8000 gpu, when is that coming out?
He meant 8000 CPU, as in Ryzen 8000-series. The Radeon RX 8000-series possibly won't have a x9xx-tier card, if rumours are to be believed. A proverbial RX 8800 XT would already run laps and laps around your current Fury, though.

It's actually about time for me to upgrade my whole system since it's going to be 9 years old this summer but I keep postponing it...

Great build. Quite similar to the rebuild plan I have for myself (carrying over the 7900 XTX that I already have) - https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GxGbdH

Any current gen GPU can do it, even an RX 7600 is MUCH faster than Fury
I really ought to grab a Radeon again.
Just for the sake of studying them once more?

I see, then it's a pre-RDNA "limitation". Screwed up Pascal does it too, but oh well. I stand "corrected". Ugh. AMD!!!!

I was using my 390X with VSR 4k with the older games, little over a year ago. And i was running it though a AV using DP and HDMI.

Maybe the problem you seen was the card and bios on that card, in windows sure but in games i never had a issue using VSR.

VSR 4K was always supported, it's VSR from 4K as a starting base that wasn't, at least not up to 7680x4320 8K
