Simply put, I dislike the P5Q-pro. I don't like anything about it, from the BIOS options to the way it overclocks. I want to go X38 or even a crossfire P35 based board.

So, I have my P5Q-Pro with Kets 1104 bios on it for trade. I can load any bios that you want on it if you don't want Kets. I will put some cash or maybe some games with it for your X38. Mine comes complete with box and all accessories.

I'd think about trading my maximus for it but i'd need some $$ too.

you sure youve not hit the limit for that chip, i got 450 stable of this p5q pro last night and i only had it for a few hours, just a thought as you might end up spending money unneccesarily and still only hitting 3.9 on that e5200, i doubt it will go much higher with the cooling you have and its at 1.45v already

Positive. Something is limiting this board, be it ram, or just my lack of skill with the Asus, I am not sure.

Put it to you this way. I dropped the multiplier to 10 and went 390x10 and couldn't get it to post at all, even through 1.6V at the CPU and 1.5V at the NB and it never would post. Yet I have gotten to windows with 4.2GHZ at 12.5x multi. It seems like when it changes the FSB strap at higher FSB's, something happens.

Also, the E5200 runs a shitload cooler than the other 45NM, even at 1.525, I barely hit 65*C.

I agree, there are a lot of odd things with the P5Q pro, but I am enjoying mine now that I have it running stable. Do you have any idea what the max fsb is on it?

Thats not a bad offer by fits for an up trade plus some cash...

Yeah I know, him and Paulieg offered me some REALLY nice deals (I thank both of you), but both a tad out of my price range. Max FSB that I hit was 415.

Wow, thats a pretty low FSB. My P45 is amazing, I love it. Good luck finding a board man:toast:, what about Sneeky's cheap x38 board?

Sneeky has a cheap X38? Where? I am also wondering about two things with this board. 1 if the Vreg HS is on properly and 2 if I am feeding it enough votls. I am finding people that have to throw 1.6V at the NB to get it stable.

Yes, he has or had a Foxconn X38A for $125. Shadow also has a $50 P35 board.
