Hi everyone, so I asked this on reddit but got no responses so I was wondering if anybody knew of a possible fix.
Last week I freshly installed windows 11, and for the most part everything has been fine. I may be getting slightly less FPS but overall no problems, expect the fact that I've been getting packet loss in games. In fortnite and marvel rivals it is noticeable but bearable. In Roblox however I will randomly spike to 1000+ ping and the game freezes for a few seconds. I've been trying to find fixes but can't find a good answer. During Wi-Fi speed tests my download speed was normal (800 - 900 MBPS) but my upload speed would peak at 40 (which is normal) and then continuously go down to as low as 5 MBPS. Does anybody know how to fix this?

Just so nobody recommends me something I've already tried, I use ethernet, I've tried wireless wi-fi, of course I've tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, I've tried to see if I need to update drivers in windows, and I've tried to disable and reenable my ethernet in windows. Didn't want to be rude just trying to get a more specific answer as this seems to be a odd problem.

Have your network checked or go back to a previous windows

Check system power options.

Also,
did you manually install/update network device drivers, or did you just use it as-is, once Windows auto-installed the driver(s)?
IMO, Seek out 1st-party source drivers for your Wi-Fi and Ethernet devices. Update 'em.

I would recommend what @LabRat 891 suggested. The windows update drivers sometimes are generic at best just to get a device recognized in the system.

Do you know what your network adapters are?

Sorry for not responding sooner I was asleep, I did the system power options. I could only find the one for my wireless wifi but for some reason changing that seemed to work? I'll test it more later today but I was getting consistent upload speeds on wifi speed tests. But just in case the problem comes back again how would I go about finding drivers for my wifi.

Edit: I'm not sure if changing that worked as it seems I'm just not getting packet loss atm with or without the setting on. I for some reason cannot find my ethernet because only 1 network adapter has the "power management" tab and that is my wireless connection.

Update system specs in your profile so we can reference your actual hardware.

Post screenshot of Device Manager window showing ethernet driver version.

If ethernet fails to work, maybe the cable is faulty or something upstream from your router box? Especially cable internet (Do you have DOCSIS where you’re from as well?) is prone to having you suffer for your neighbour’s deeds, though it could happen with DSL as well. (And with powerline, of course, in case you’re running something like that.)
It would be best if you could get a second machine (or maybe an ethernet dongle for your phone even (Do USB-hubs with Ethernet ports work on phones as well?)—I don’t know how phone ethernet is, or if there’s troubleshooting tools for it, just that it is something that some people do), and then see if it works on the exact same cable, see if it works on a different port on your gateway device, test at intermediary points (if there are any) to narrow it down, and such.
Speaking of the cable, make sure it’s well-seated and not just flaky in some positions (duh).

Check your jumbo packet size in the Adapter settings in Device Manager and set it to 1500 if unsure.
I got about of that, Windows would assume that the over 9000 setting maximum was the best option for everything and it caused me issues.

Edit This is for wired connections only.

At least according to your system specs, the AB350 Pro4 doesn't include a Wi-Fi adapter.
Is this another system, or can you find out what Wi-Fi adapter was purchased and installed into the machine?

All-else fails, you can use device manager

If the adapter doesn't have a 'cleartext' and easily recognized name, copy-paste the Hardware ID, here (or into a WebSearch/LLM)

Could this be a time / timezone prob?

Is the BIOS up to date?
Did you download the ISO from an unreliable source?
Where did you install the driver from?
Which motherboard?
Which router is yours?
Which cable? CAT5? CAT6?

So many questions that it's impossible to know the solution

try setting the packet size to 1495. it did wonders for me. i had i at 1500 and everething was slugish....now my browser is fast and responsive and my speedtest result match my internet speed
