Parted Magic is, in my opinion, a excellent set of tools and software.

Having said that, I wish to know if anyone has ever been blacklisted by Parted Magic?

Please explain what you mean by blacklisted? Did you pay for a 1-time download or annual subscription?

I have purchased one-time download three times in the past; 2012, 2016, 2017.

I went to purchase the 2018 version today, and I got a pop-up saying 'The vendor has chosen to block this transaction...'

I then used my girlfriends email and CC to purchase the new version, and it went through immediately.

Also, my forum account is gone.

If me, I would have tried a different credit card to make sure it was not your card they blocked.

That said, with your forum account gone, it would seem something else is happening. But deleting your forum account and refusing to take your money are two different things. I suggest you contact them and ask.

Note forum accounts are not typically deleted. Instead they are just closed.

I have tried to contact them several times. They do not reply.

To clarify, I am not sure my forum account has been deleted. Parted Magic forum is open only to paying customers, and you must register with the email used for the purchase. I had an account for several years, but now I cannot login with my username.

I created an account using my girlfriends info, and I just checked the forum.

I am no longer in the Members list, and I cannot find any posts I previously made.

EDIT: I never got to the point where I would input payment info when I tried to buy the current version using my email address.

Don't know what to say then. It is possible your email address was spoofed by a spammer (they used your address to send spam) and now your address is blacklisted. You can check your provider and ask them for help. Otherwise, perhaps contact them again from a different address and maybe they will respond.

What do you need this tool for? If to manipulate partitions on your disks, just forget about Parted Magic and use EASEUS Partition Master Home Edition instead. IMO, it is better and totally free for home, non-commercial use.

It seems I have been blacklisted from purchasing also and I cannot figure out for the life of me why. I didn't do anything wrong.

At some point I told them (in a message to the admin which is all you're allowed to send) that I originally found a copy on archive.org from April 30th, 2018 (archive.org is the Wayback Machine).
I told I would purchase once I tested it out. Right after I tried out the version I found on archive.org and decided I liked it, I tried to purchase and found myself blocked.

If I had not found that freely downloadable copy, I would never have known about their product anyway.

If they're blocking me out of a sense of having a petty tantrum for using a copy that was found on archive.org, whatever. It's their l loss.

Anything on archive.org as far as I'm concerned is legitimate/legal to use and if the author has any problem with it, they will immediately remove it.

What else are you supposed to do if they have mental issues and won't sell it to you? Haha!

Here's the archive.org link...it's been almost three weeks since I told them about it and it's still there so I guess they have no issues with it. Have at it!

I have not, but have seen them blacklist people for various reasons. The dev seems to get a bit childish when they feel someone has "stolen" their work. They took it from freely available and open source to paid and closed source. There are some people who feel that the dev of PM is charging money for something that is freely available elsewhere and is effectively stealling from the community. The dev claims that he has done a few things no one else has. There is merit to both sides of the debate. Where the dev crosses the line is banning people who disagree. They're just cutting off their nose to spite their face. Very self defeating.

I agree...it used to be free. Very little about it is original work it seems like. I seriously doubt any significant improvement was made. The core apps especially.

For sure, the two main components (Clonezilla and Gparted) are free. The dev of PM has a lot of nerve really. He did steal a free app and is selling it. The actual PM app also was free at one time.

I just found the latest 2019.03.17 version and downloaded it but because of the rules here I cannot post it. Google it if you want it, otherwise the archive.org link above still works.
