If you even came across a PC system that had a problem with its Ram, there are high chances that you have used PassMark Software MemTest86 software for testing and revealing DRAM errors. The software uses a chain of algorithms, including SIMD and row hammer tests, to try to test if the memory is in a good shape or it has some problems. PC builders have used the software for years to detect and isolate any potential Ram issues that occurred. Today, makers of MemTest86, PassMark Software, previewed initial support for DDR5 memory in their internal software builds. That means that by the time DDR5 memory hits the consumer market, we will have software for testing any possible defective Ram.

These numbers are VERY low. My TGL cpu with 2x8Gb 3200 R8Gb has 1680/444/189/42 for the caches and mem, this is probably due to very low clock speeds.

Timings are not that bad. DDR5 4800 at CL40 is roughly the same latency wise as DDR4 2400 at CL20, which is actually better then the junk some OEMs use. And that's first gen DDR5. We've already seen leaks fo DDR5 7000+ MHz with CAS 40ish latencies.

Wouldn't that be PC5-38400? or DDR5-2400? Doesn't naming follow 8:1 ratios, i.e. DDR4-3600 is actually PC4-28800.

I'm really not sure wth memory makers are thinking... DDR5 is not ready yet... we are going to get worse performance in games with a new AM5 DDR5 rig then with a high end AM4 rig with top tier ddr4 ram.

sad. @TheLostSwede tell your friends in industry to get their act together. this is nonsense.

Wonder what CPU, only 2.8ghz/4 core
It's obviously some kind of engineering sample that doesn't have to be cleaned up and refined enough for consumers since clearly DDR5 isn't available on any platforms just yet.
