[FF] Pay it forward TPU 2.0

Bump again for a great idea. I really had big plans to clean out my tech closet, and still haven't made the time lol. I'll get to it, and post in here eventually.

As well as doing a bump, I'm going to donate my Crosshair 5 Formula-Z I have here that I'd like to go to someone.. I realise it's not on the best platform and such but at the moment its all I have that I'd like to do something with... Hopefully sometime however, I'll be looking to donate more :) I'll link to some pics from my project thread if there's any there and failing that, I'll just grab some new ones :) It's boxed, just missing an internal box for the motherboard.

Hope this helps a bit. If needed I'll see if I can track down a CPU or something for it and send it on with the motherboard... :)

Knew I had it somewhere!! :) 'Ere tis!!

I think Asus allows Ryzen 5000 on that board...

That's an AM3+ board. Unless something changed AM4 CPUs do not work in an AM3 socket.

I realize I don't qualify to participate here, so I don't have anything to offer as of yet, though as soon as I do I have a few things that I'd like to put up.

Sadly I wish it was the case..

Tis correct sir, and DDR3 as well.. The FX line of hardware wasn't the best by far sadly :(

Great idea!! @PaulieG ,and a little bump :)
Shame most of the stuff has been US only but ha ho its all in a good cause :)

Bump! I've got some new stuff coming soon!

First dump, it's not that much but I hope someone has a use for it!

Item #1: Brand-new copy of Acronis True Image 10 Home. It was still in its shrink-wrap at the thrift store I got it at, works fine as shown. First 5 digits of serial code are pictured, the rest are obscured. I was originally going to use it but I don't need it.

Item #2: AGP GeForce 4 MX440 64MB. Was given to me by an LTT forum member for free, didn't need it as I got an AGP Radeon 9250 128MB as well. Was originally going to use as a backup AGP card but the PCI 3D Rage II +DVD I have does that job better. Confirmed working, has 1 VGA and 1 S-Video/composite out.
The cable shown is an S-Video to composite video adapter cable, it is not included as I use it with my Power Mac G4. If you need one though they're ~$10 on eBay.

Item #3: White Morpheus 360 headphones, a.k.a. the headphones that Micro Center gave away for free. I got them while getting myself more RAM. Brought them with to school to use, used them once, then never used them again because they don't fit my head and brought my wired headset instead. I have cleaned them, the gray marks are pencil marks that I did my best to erase; some did not come off fully. It's one of the reasons I don't like white things - they stain/discolor way too easily.
It has Bluetooth and 3.5mm aux connectivity, as well as a MicroSD/TF slot if you still put your music on those. Me, those are too modern - I put my music on a CD like a real man my grandpa!
The battery apparently lasts forever - I haven't touched the headphones since May(?) and they still work. I'll charge them fully tonight though just to make sure.
It shows up as HP4500 in Settings because that's its model - showed up as HP4500 on my Chromebook as well.

I realize that some of these pictures are from various dates. I took these at different times throughout the previous week as I found and took pictures of things; if you need me to reshoot them with the present date I can.

More to come as I get stuff and/or decide I don't need stuff!

Mate, is it taken or still available ?
I think its still has some potential combining it with FX 8350 ? correct me if i am wrong.
Hey bud, apologies head like a sieve and trying to find the post!!

If I'm completely honest, I think the FX line of CPUs etc. are dead in the water, I mean Sandy Bridge (25/26/2700k's) would be better but if someone just wants it for show then it'll be fine. I'd go Ryzen mate if I'm honest (personal opinion there :) B450, 3900X if you can find a second hand one, 32GB RAM, you'd have a monster of a system :)

Whilst I remember and I'm here, I've got the two PSUs I've said about nearly ready. One is out and the other will be coming out when I switch out my Mrs's rig... Gotta think about a cooler for that one yet.... Anyways, I'll grab some pictures of the PSUs/boxes etc. as soon as I can. Also have another motherboard, CPU and cooler to go to, but that is an original Crosshair board, which if my limited memory serves me, is AM2 socket.. It's been a while but I think that has a AMD X2 6000+ CPU in it.... I'll put up some pictures :)

Note: My shipping zip code is 94539, all the way to the West Coast. If you want multiple items, be prepared that shipping will be higher.

I decommissioned a few machines over the holidays, so I have a few computer components up for grab. Here are my rules –
1. PM me for questions or discussion. Please be clear in your message. I will try to acknowledge your PM within a day or two. However, if you don’t hear back from me in two days, you might be on my ignore list.
2. You pay for shipping, and I accept Venmo or Zelle. For other payment methods, PM me.
3. Shipping will be USPS Priority Mail unless you have a few more items that I could not fit into a flat rate box.
4. You must be an established member before 2022. I don’t want someone to create a new account just to grab stuff. Priority will be given to long time members and TPU crunchers.
5. I would limit 1 combo per member unless you have a valid reason that you can prove (i.e., charity giving, TPU crunching). You can request additional miscellaneous items such as the graphics cards listed, but you will need to pay extra for a larger shipping box. If you need SATA cables, be sure to ask as I have plenty. Some combos may not have SATA cables.
6. No dibs. This is NOT first-come, first-serve. I want to give this a few days to run its course and maximize shipping efficiency, and give everyone a chance.
7. I will likely ship on Monday, 1/31/2022.
8. Any harassment will be reported to the moderators and dealt with appropriately.

Onto the items –
1. *** Gone ***
This combo consists of a new MSI FM2+ motherboard, AMD A4-5300, and 2x4GB (8GB Total) of G.Skill DDR3 1333MHz Ripjaws memory. (Update: I found a new stock cooler for 860k so you don't need a cooling solution to get up and running.) I kept the motherboard as a backup. The CPU and memory are used. Comes with I/O Shield. This will be good enough for web browsing, but may struggle with HD 1080p YouTube playback.

2. *** Gone ***
This combo consists of a new ASUS FM2+ motherboard, AMD A4-6300, and 2x4GB (8GB Total) of G.Skill DDR3 1333MHz Ripjaws memory. This will be good enough for web browsing, but may struggle with HD 1080p YouTube playback.

3. *** Gone ***
New MSI 760GM-P23 (FX) AM3+ motherboard and (used) 2x4GB (8GB Total) of G.Skill DDR3 1333MHz Ripjaws memory. No CPU.

4. *** Gone ***
New Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H AM3 motherbaord (I forgot to check revision so I need to check again) and a mix of (used) Corsair and (used) Patriot 2GB DDR3 memory for a total of 8GB. No CPU. Comes with I/O Shield.

5. *** Gone ***
Used Gigabyte 970A-UD3P AM3+ motherboard (I forgot to check revision so I need to check again), and (used) 4x2GB (8GB Total) of Micron DDR3 memory. No CPU. Comes with I/O Shield.

6. *** Gone ***
Used Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ motherboard (I forgot to check revision so I need to check again), (used) AMD FX-6300 CPU, and (used) 4x2GB (8GB Total) of Kingston DDR3 memory. This will be good enough for web browsing, and HD 1080p Youtube playback. Comes with I/O Shield.

7. *** Gone ***
Used ASUS M5A99FX Pro AM3+ motherboard (I forgot to check revision so I need to check again), (used) AMD FX-6300 CPU, and (used) 4x2GB (8GB Total) of Kingston DDR3 memory. This will be good enough for web browsing, and HD 1080p Youtube playback. Comes with I/O Shield. The onboard sound does not work, so I will include a Creative Labs X-FI PCI soundcard.

8. *** Gone ***
2x BFG GTS 250 512MB.

9. *** Gone ***
Gigabyte GTX 470 with Accelero Twin Turbo II cooler. I do not remember the model or the memory size. The plastic shroud is a little bit loose and does come off if you yank on it. I had it in a Cooler Master HAF-XB so it was in an upright position all the time.

10. *** Gone ***
Palit GTX 460 768MB.

11. *** Gone ***
Some miscellaneous items, TP-Link TL-WN722N Wireless adapter, 2GB Corsair DDR3 memory, 1 GB Kingston DDR3 memory.

12. *** Gone ***
2x Brand new Intel DH61AG. I was going to use them for mini PC but decided to use NUC instead.

13. *** Gone ***
Some more brand new USB Wireless-N cards. See attached pictures. A few still remain.

14. This board has problem - it will boot loop. This is an ASUS Rampage Iv Extreme Intel X79 2011 Motherboard. I probably killed the first slot or the board when I plugged in a dead GPU. The board just boot looped. I flashed the BIOS and even bought a new BIOS chip, but neither helped. There is not bent pin (see picture). If you think you can revive it, I will include an Intel E5-2609 CPU and 4x2GB of the Kingston DDR3 memory to get you started. This should fit into a Medium Flat Rate box.

If nothing here interests you, I will have a few more items in the near future to list, so stay tuned and check back later. Question for the moderators – am I allowed to bump the thread when I add new items later?
