PC BSOD after installing new gpu + PSU to compensate the new GPU

I think I read most of this thread and I have not seen any mention of just resetting the bios back to stock and also only running 2 sticks of ram, matched, in the proper slots.

Actually we're trying to get him to run one stick at a time, but there's nothing in his manual (which is odd), about which slot to use in that case.

Ok, then shutdown. Pull all but 1 stick of ram and reset bios. Do a full bios reset. Jumper or Pull the battery.

if he uses BlueScreenView why he is not getting what is causing the BSOD, normally he should get a screen saying what is causing the crash.

example:

maybe could help.

He only has 2 mix matched sticks of memory.

He want the single stick in the white slot closes to the board edge. Also I am still waiting to see if he had any issues with system before the Gpu and psu upgrade. If not then the problem is related to the upgrade. Whether the parts are bad or he knocked something loose.

WTF? If that works, I'd be floored!

And a triple post.. find dat edit button boss!
in every little help there is a shred of hope, just be optimistic.

it was fine before them yes but i installed the gpu first and after i posted why it was bluescreening on tomshardware a bunch of people said to get a better psu with higher amperage so thats what i did since i assumed that would be the end of my problems and i have furmarked the grpahics card for a few hours and it didnt overheat and the system didnt crash.

So either the gpu or the psu is at fault.

i was reading some

a few days ago i was googling and i got the same answers, better psu.
this psu is in tier one so it should be more than good enough.

It could be that either the gpu or psu are simply bad. Whether new or not could still be bad.

How many times are you going to repeat that? LOL!

Just because its a teir 1 PSU doesn't mean it didn't arrive broken... bad things can happen to great products, just with less frequency.

Did you run memtest?
