ok guys so my pc is freezing after a while i have no idea why. I rarely use it now, maybe 2 or 3 times a week, but since last week when im using it after a little while the cursor freezes and i cant move it, no key entries work and the pc is still running. somtimes if im watching youtube the sound freezes and just keeps making a continous noise...and the only way to fix is to reset the entire thing....im really frustrated as i dont know what could be causing this....any info that i can give that will help you help me let me know ill give it to you!! thanks
edit: maybe the psu cant keep up with it anymore? although when i upgraded the pc(video card) it was running fine....
when it froze the first time i was running another 2TB HDD but thats gone now, and now i have a 500gb external(it has its own power)....

Try resetting the bios to defaults.
Also, re-seat the memory.
Check and or replace the TIM(check your cpu temps and gpu temps).
Re-seat the power connections and drive cables.
Run memory check (memtest86)
Check and make sure the codecs are up to date.
You using the latest driver for your sound card?
Have you got the latest bios for the MB? F12

Just some stuff to try...:)

Make sure your cpu overclock is stable. Same thing used to happen to me while gaming on my Q8200.

I have the same problem with my computer. I tried several things to try to solve the problem without success. I reformatted, install an aux psu to run fans and hard drive. Nothing works. I have some success with leaving the computer case slightly open to air more flow. I get a crash once every two weeks now. Still a pain but livable.
