Howdy! So, this night when I went to power on my pc it just refused to do anything. I pressed the power button on the mobo hoping that would cause it to boot, and still nothing. I tried removing my mobo from my case, and trying to boot it up with a new PSU, and different ram but still It wont post, even after clearing CMOS. The mobo does NOT give me any sort of beep code, which makes me think it is indeed the mobo. I was wondering if you guys had any tricks I could try to possibly solve this.

System:
Proc: I5 3750K
Mobo: Asus P8Z77-V
RAM: M379B5273DH0-YK0 2X4GB (those samsung sticks) (also tried Gskill ram)
PSU: Seasonic 750X (also tried ULTRA LSP 750)

THIS HAS BEEN SOLVED. RESEATING THE PROCESSOR ALLOWED ME TO BOOT AGAIN

Sounds like the Mobo to me.

Are you getting any lights or fans spinning when you start it up?

I only get the green light to let me know that the mobo has power. Nothing at all happens when I press the power button, but if I put a paperclip in the 24 pin, all my gear will spin up (fans, water pump, HDDs)

Well thats very strange.

You say you tried a new PSU so that should not be the problem.

Did you try booting with just one ram stick and then try another?

If thats not it would have to say its your Mobo then.

I tried booting with just one stick with 2 diff pairs of ram (8 sticks total). I guess I gotta send this thing back to be RMAed again lol

I would say so.

Not much else it could be.

Hi

Power down system and switch off the PSU, unplug from the wall [wait a couple of minutes for the power to discharge from the motherboard and or press and hold the system power on button]

Remove all hardware from motherboard including hdd/ssd

unplug 24pin 8/4pin power from mobo

Clear CMOS [while CPU is removed from mobo]

Reseat CPU & Heatsink

Use minimal hardware setup; CPU & Heatsink , One Stick of RAM, Igp for vga [connect monitor to mobo]

boot to bios? [*If No] *maybe time to raise an RMA

Last resort !

you can start a board from the 24 pin plug
Try shorting the PWR wires on the 24 pin plug. Green and black with power supply hooked up and the 24 pinplug plugged in the Motherboard (you can do it from the back of the plug). CPU, one stick of ram. Ive had front headers fail. At least it will confirm the problem but if its under warrenty just do the RMA

google which wires to short. Just be carful you can fry the board
