Pc restarts, help !

was thinking maybe it could be a faulty motherboard not giving enough power to components
It would probably still be the PSU then.

Hey, just joined this in hopes someone can help me. To preface the post here are my specs : 6700xt, 5600, b550m pro vdh wifi, tx850m -

ever since i built my pc i have been getting restarts when opening almost any game, i have managed to make a few old titles like csgo & tf2 working by lowering the power limit & the gpu clock, on other games a little more intensive lowering power limit and clock simply turns an instant restart into 20 minutes then restart . Im not getting bluescreens, i just get the restart on its own - nothing notable in event viewer ( just kernel power 41) and before i finish ill add all parts were bought new & i have already reinstalled windows and ddu drivers,

thanks, ill do my best to answer any questions
Had similar issue until I removed the Intel XMP 3200 memory profile in my BIOS.

My XMP fix error

This was a good idea but unfortunately no luck, i think ill just buy a new power supply and see if that fixes my problems, except from maybe a faulty cable or something i cant think what else it could be

Probably, just seems odd that none of the voltages are particuarly low @ restart

I would have the system tested in a shop before buying more hardware so you can find the root cause

Current draw is another factor, if volts are good but current isnt and the watts to the pcie bus/gpu are bad then it could be the psu but definitely get it tested

Having it checked seems like the best plan, do you think there is anything small i could check/buy beforehand e:g : new wires - as getting it checked seems like a somewhat last resort
