pc3200 and pc2700?

i have tried my pc3200 512md and my pc2700 256mb together and they dont work.is there a setting in the bios i need to change or is it they just dont work together?they are both kvr ram

try to change ram clock to the lower one, 333Mhz. I've tried to put my pc2700 and pc2100 together and it's work fine.

i got the memory to work

but now when i play bf2 i can play for about ten mins then the game crashes to the desktop?whats up with that?but still dont know how to change the ram clock.they are running at 199mhz right now

You set ram speed in bios.It needs to be at 166.
They should work well togetter,but you have to use the lower fsb speed.
further more the cas latencies need to be set at the slowest timings from the slowest stick.
So if the pc3200 is cas 2,5 ,3,3,7 for instance and the other is cas 3,3,3,6 you have to use the slowest for each and end up with cas 3,3,3,7 for both.
Ram will run at slower timings regardless,but not always at higher then it's sold for so experiment with that when things are stable.
Find the settings for your mainboard on the internet so you know which ones to change .

ps. use cpuz for a good representation of your memory and cpu etc.
