ok guys so i need advice/input on what i should get to use my old ide drives on my new X99 motherboard
now about 18 months ago i bought a startech PEX2IDE 1 port PCI Express IDE Controller adaptor card, and that was very finicky on what drives it would accept, it also used to make the computer boot twice no matter what settings i tried in the bios before getting into windows (it seems to have died
)
the card doesn't have to be permanent as i'm going to back up what i have and then use the older drives in my cctv system (if that ever works again but that's another story altogether
)
so what do you guys use to back up old hard drives?
