I've been trying to figure out the cause of this issue and I have had no luck myself. I've had this computer for a couple of years and I just recently started having issues when gaming. I tried out the new Black Ops 6 and I was getting around 40fps. I play RUST and whenever I render player models my FPS nearly halves. I have a hunch it's the GPU but I'm still not entirely sure, my CPU is a i9-10850k and I have 32gb of DDR4 3600mhz. Would anyone here be able to help me pinpoint issues? Here are my stats in GPU-Z, thanks

These are my statistics when in a lobby with 10 players on the game RUST, I was getting like 35fps.

Will take forever to decipher this log.

Can you install MSI Afterburner + RivaTuner Statistics Server (comes in bundle, you need to actively try to miss it) and then enable monitoring of:
• overall CPU usage
• GPU usage
• CPU temperature
• GPU temperature and show it all on OSD?

This video will guide you. No need to watch till the very end.

your GPU runs with just ONE PCIe 3.0 Lane, which would explain the awful performance.
this is not even normal at idle. Start a Game, and check if it goes up x16 4.0. If that's not the case, take your GPU out, check the pins and the slot and reinstall the GPU properly.

That doesn't change while gaming, I've had this PC for a couple of years and this issue started happening a few months ago. Would it make sense for it to randomly start happening?

Here are my statistics while playing the game RUST, I only have the poor performance issues when rendering player models or certain weapons.

so your GPU is stuck at 3.0 x1 while gaming?
that's 99% a hardware problem and the Card/motherboard slot should be inspected and cleaned.

I wouldn't say "randomly". Is there any visible sag from both your card or the PCIe slot? Them 3090's are chonkers, and without due physical support issues may arise in the long run.

If only all PC performance problems were this easy to solve!

PCI-E 3.0 is correct for Comet lake, PCI-E 4.0 was introduced with 11th Gen so an easy win!
