So you are suggesting that I attempt to correct the mfgr's failure to comprehend the meaning of the word "WHITE" and/or "GLACIAL" by paying even moar money for paint/markers etc and then mucking around with what I would consider a half-assed work around....

Well, yeah, that's exactly what he was saying, lol. If a part doesn't look the way you want, nothing wrong with customizing it. Within reason, of course - in other words, if you want a truly white motherboard where EVERYTHING is white, you're sadly out of luck when it comes to customizing it, because if you don't prep it EXTREMELY WELL, chances are good that you'll end up bricking the damn thing. But if you want your GPU shroud or whatever to be a different color, nothing wrong with busting out a spray can or two. My dad and I did exactly that with my Sapphire 280X Tri-X back in the day
