Before I did a fresh install of win7 I had my WMC setup perfectly using the shark codec pack.

Since reinstalling win7 fresh because of the installation of Raid0 config I have not been able to get my WMC to play MKV properly and Im not sure if its because of the catalyst 10.2 or my codecs. The reason why I am trying to get them to play in WMC is because it's convenient (or it was) to scroll through my movies via remote control in WMC and/or use WMC for my TV tuner and music.

I uninstalled all codecs from my pc and reinstalled only codecs which were supposed to work with MKV/x.264 etc in WMC but Im still experiencing choppy playback or distorted video.. or sometime perfect video but no sound.

Even windows media player classic plays choppy now.. which that was the only ap that always played flawless.

I'm thinking of formatting my raid0 partition and re-doing win 7 again but I was hoping someone might have expecience with this issue or use WMC to play there hi def movies.

So.. does anyone have any suggestions on what I should try doing before I go through the process of re-installing win7 or should i just do that anyway?

Please help me out, I hate not having my WMC setup properly and could use some help.

Thanks!

Okay.. MKV are playing fine. I just realized that the files that are playing shitty are of m2ts format which is some playstation 3 stuff so I am just going to convert the files to another format.

All seems to be working now with all my other mkv files.
