PNY RTX 4080 Triple Fan: the middle fan is faster and louder

I am going to buy a PNY GEFORCE RTX® 4090 24GB XLR8 Gaming VERTO Edition because I feel adventurous like that (and because the retailer only has PNY cards available)

Personally, I've bought two generations of MSI Gaming X cards for their extreme quietness (check TPU reviews) and they've both been superb. Even when pushing the card hard with Furmark, it's whisper quiet, hence I recommend that brand. The only time those fans make a significant noise is when I manually set them to 100% in Afterburner. The cards have been reliable, too.

Looks like you yourself don't read reviews on TPU yet you tell others to do so. If you did read reviews on TPU you would know that TPU did review the PNY RTX4080 Verto, and the fan was one of the quietest, if not the quietest card tested that day, even quieter than your MSI. And there was also no mention of the middle fan spinning differently, not to mention way louder than the rest. With all this information it is already confirmed that OP received a faulty out of the box card and needs to return it. Also armed with your so called knowledge from reviews, you could've called @W1zzard to get his input on this since he personally tested this card as to whether did he observe the middle fan spinning at different speeds.
