[PNY] tells me i can sli my 2 7300.s without the conector is this rite?

Processor amd phenom II x4 955be @4.2gh 1.4v 24/7 max so far 4.6gh 1.5v in windows
Motherboard asus crosshair V well cooled
Cooling dd mc tdx block with 10000btu a/c rad with cold air piped from outside
Memory ocz low volt reapers 1600mh @ 1667mh 8.8.8.20 1.6v
Video Card(s) bfg gtx 280 1gig core has hit over 733mh
Storage 2 intel 40gb ssd.s in raid 0/ 1tb seagate 7200.12
Display(s) 2x 19inch non wide lcd.s
Case none sits on back plate from a case lol
Audio Device(s) sb xfi extream music [pci]

i tryed to buy 2 cards the same an some where some one fugged up

cus i got 2 difernt cards 1 that has the sli thing an one that dosent

other then that ther the same same chip an ram type /speeds

The lower end nvidia cards can do a software sli. Insert both cards and the sli option should be available.

ok so what program can i used to test an be shure thheas 2 ar running sli

i remember a wile ago they had this sli bar thing that would inda show u they wer running together in games

in the nvidia control panel, there is an option for a sli indicator, which will show the sli activity.

that kinda works

i ment like a program that will show me the speed difernce or sumthing

only thing i could think of was run 3dmark

so im doing 3dmark03 bench with just the one card in then ill do both an my score should go up

i think 3dmark 03 suports sli

the indicators thats what i want thanks ktr

ok

7078 was the first score with one vid card

ok iput the other one in it installed an sead sli capable system then it tells me i need 2 slots over 4x bandwith arnt they both 8x lol

its a asus a8n-sli se

ok i got that fixed was just video drivers so im benching but my fps hasent seamed to go up much but the sli bar look like it doing what its suposed to

wel wel it did something

old mark was 7078 1 card
new mark is 9488 2cards

im dont exspect an real speed outa theas cards this is just for fun an so i can see how much sli rilly helps an so on

im thinkin crysis would be a goo tester the 7300 single can run it on the same fx setting as my 8800 allthow the 7300 was doing like 5fps so maby with 2 i can get 10fps woot lol like i sead just sumthing to play with

[i get imiges of it being hard to bench/bogg down 2 8800gts.s with like 1200mb ram allmost 1300mb totale]i barly ever chop with my single 8800gts so i figured start with 2 cards i can bogg down with out a prob

thanks guys i thout pny was just feeding me lies since the first 7300gt i got has the sli conector
