Possible to use NVCleanstall but also use Nvidia App?

I've tested them all one-by-one. You can exclude the legacy game panel and just game profiles will stop working, you can exclude frameview and just the overlay will break, the rest are all required iirc

W1zz, do you need to be logged in for the app to work?

I've been using NVCleanstall for years with the recommended components (plus "FrameView SDK", in recent times, for Reflex latency measurements) and never had any issues, even with GFE and the new Nvidia App, as I only ever used those for the overlay (ShadowPlay/Nvidia Share).

Now that there is integration with DLSS in the new version of the app, and after checking the latest version of NVCleanstall and your posts here, I selected not only the recommended components, but also the ones required for NVApp and all of its dependencies.

Still, the app looks as barebones as it did before, with many of the tabs not loading properly. Not only that, when I try to manually add a game to Program Settings (under the Graphics menu), I get a notification on the bottom left corner stating: "Error occured while checking for app metadata from nvbackend".

As I said, all required components and dependencies for NVApp are selected in NVCleanstall, including the one especifically titled "NV Backend". What could be the issue? I haven't tried logging in, as I neved did that before (and even during the GFE days, I used BaiGFE).

No. Only some gift/coupons stuff requires a login

That's the correct approach for what you're doing and it should work, it does for me.

Try a clean install maybe

The latest stable version has the nv app and ansel fixes mentioned in the beta thread?

Mentioned here, not a huge deal, as I have a command to disable it.

It literally says "These changes are included in 1.18 now (plus NvCPL and FrameView recommended as packages with NvApp, for game profiles and overlay)"

So whats the minimum I can install and still have the nvapp functionality (i just want the transformer model without all the bloat). Possible to get rid of things like shadowplay and telemetry while having the app installed?

Ok, I was just checking with you.

Could be tongue in cheek, we can't tell :P

No errors using 1.18 to install 576 drivers.

Didnt install the NVapp yet though, and wish I now did it via nvcleanstall.

Is it possible to make nvcleaninstall work for the nvapp standalone installer, if I understand right you can choose to not install the framework, if you ok with having the blank info?

Also confirmed ansel is good.

Code:
DCH Driver Detected
Desktop Driver Detected
Ansel is Currently Disabled

Do you want to Enable Ansel (Y/N)?n

Aborted - No Changes Have Been Made

This is a good question and it's early days as the driver/app only just came out properly, so we kind of need people to figure it out better in relation to NVCleanstall.

Some kind of write-up would be good detailing what each part does/is required/what you'll lose/what will break in the NV App.

Annoyingly, it sounds like you still need the legacy NV Control Panel in order to use the new Transformer model?
