'Get back the most useless performance index in the history of Windows ever'

No thanks, waste of space and bandwidth :) I'm surprised anyone even took the effort, nice find :P

oh c'mon, you know you want to...

FINE

Aaaaand uninstall :)

BTW... did I just notice your Intel HD610 is getting a similar Gaming Graphics score to my GTX 1080?

Wut

hmm, that bench seems to be run in january?

I see you're from netherlands...

That's not dissimilar to the reason why nobody took that thing seriously in the first place. Dell d610 scores 1 point below a $5000 alienware laptop:laugh:

Are you suggesting there must be a 10 month time difference here? :D

The haze from the coffee shops acts like a buffer to the Azathoth time-rays constantly raining down on.

Yeah I noticed that too. Weird. And my system clock is really on today.

The reason is because this isn't a benchmark. This is just a GUI for the WEI that is already built into Windows 10, Microsoft never removed it they just removed the GUI for it. And it still runs automatically from time to time to update your WEI score, which I believe Microsoft still uses to determine if your computer is capable of running newer versions of Windows 10. I believe it automatically runs when it detects a hardware change that will affect the score, did you do any upgrading to your PC back in January?

Yes, I built this rig in January :) I think that is accurate, because I haven't done any hardware swaps since.

Hehehehehe

I'd consider this as ok the software is not running the whole WEI test suit though as it fails to run the Video Decode/Encode/Playback tests
> Dshow Video Encode Time 0.00000 s
> Dshow Video Decode Time 0.00000 s
> Media Foundation Decode Time 0.00000 s

Also it's full of little upsell crap either on screen or when you close the app and during the install a much better version can be had from here http://www.softwareok.com/?seite=Microsoft/ExperienceIndexOK
it doesn't have all the crapware upsell bullshit with this ChrisPC version and doesn't need to be installed just unzip and run

It is, and even MS understood that which is why they removed the GUI and easy access to it. It caused much more confusion than its worth, and was never intended to be a benchmark to compare with other systems anyway.

It was intended for users to compare before and after performance on the same computer - before and after hardware changes. This is why, as new technologies were adapted, the scoring changed as well. For example, when SSDs became commonplace, it was common for users disk scores, and often over all Base scores to drop. Users complained because they did not understand why their scores dropped. Many thought there was something wrong with their systems when in reality, nothing changed.

If you look at all of the scores in the screen shots above they all (except the OPs) show disk performance is the determining factor for the Base score. While disk performance is certainly important, depending on the tasks you typically perform, disk performance may negligibly impact the performance of those tasks - especially if you have gobs of RAM installed.

The program is not worth the disk space it occupies.

Now gonna uninstall it :)

I particularly like the 0.1 score difference between my CPU and Athlonite's FX @ 4gig as mine is a 6700K at 4.6 lol :slap:

9900K gets a 9.5, DDR4-3200 gets 9.5 and 2080 ti gets 9.9 on both graphics.. the survey and closing the program upset me

xixi, interesting, seems like a malware or virus, despite here is the result:

For the fun of it at least. Here is my old use less and outdated system:p

The base score is determined by lowest subscore.

8 out of 9 Screenshots posted the score given is based on the Primary Hard Disk except the one posted by @Gorstak , lucky you;)

Damn my Samsung 850 EVO 250GB gving me a 8.2 when it should be higher for being a Samsung.

Uhm, I don't really like ssd's, at least for the time being. My boot drive is wd 500 GB hdd, and I beleive all drives like that get 5.9 score. I also use sandisk usb stick 32 gb for ready boost tech and I don't really notice any difference in regular work..

Why i higher score for being a samsung?

I think i know why you are getting 8.2. Your ssd is limited by sata 3 speed. Us that score 9 or more all seems to have faster m.2 nvme ssd including my self.

My point is that if you want to get a higher score, you will need a ssd running on m.2 or pcie. Its not samsung ssd fault, its sata limited read/ride speed that holds you back.
