Hello friends, greetings from South America.

Please I ask you for help with my RX580. I purchased a second-hand PowerColor Red Dragon RX580 8GB (AXRX 580 8GBD5-3DHDV2/OC) but I see strange behavior when changing the dual bios switch. When you select the switch in "Silent" mode, the PC indicates that the GPU does not have a UEFI driver to continue and requests to configure the CSM mode, but when you select the switch in "OC" mode, the computer starts without problems, I think the bios of the "Silent" mode has a problem so I would like to reinstall it.
Can you please help me by identifying the bios files in both modes for my gpu since I believe it was used for mining?.

Physically check the memory chip and it is Samsung K4G80325FB

Thank you very much to all

PS: Excuse my terrible English.

Hello.
Would you be so kind and save your "silent" BIOS and attach it here?
I need to open it and check something, in order to narrow the search for the right BIOS

Hello.

Thanks for your help. Here are the files.

I also added a gpuz image from the bios "silent".

It is strange what happens from that bios, I installed the GPU on another computer with different hardware, but there I did manage to enter Windows, the problem is that it does not show an image in the bios post of the PC previously configured in UEFI, what's more, when I press F1 at startup to enter the bios, the screen remains absolutely black without giving an image but you can see that the PC does enter the bios, then when I restart the PC again everything is black until the Windows image magically appears when You now enter the desktop.

Hello.
From your description i could only assume that the "silent" BIOS is actually a modded BIOS for mining.
It can;t be 1340 with 2000 since the OC version is 1350 with 2000.
For sure it was modded.
And about booting into windows, yes if you moved it onto another system with no UEFI, the yes it would act normal.
That BIOS is not UEFI compatible anymore.

Thanks for your analysis.

Do you know which bios should originally be in "silent" mode and "oc" mode?

I need to find the correct values for your OC BIOS.
All i found until now was the OC version.
So let me dig further
The one you have in OC position is the right one.
The silent one is wrong

Thank you very much for everything friend.

I will be attentive to anything you need.

@JohnL I think this is the orginal silent bios for your card.

Thanks friend, I'll take the test and let you know how it goes.
I tell you that when I opened the GPU to check the memories, I took advantage of performing maintenance by changing the paste, dropping from 83 to 63 degrees at full load. Supposedly I have always been in OC mode (core 1350 / mem 2000) but now the RX 580 does not make any noise and I am trying games of all kinds... Could it really be that 1350 / 2000 is the OC mode?...

**UPDATE 1**

I installed the bios indicated by @VuurVOS, after restarting the problem persists, it still does not give an image of the PC startup, the image only appears when Windows starts, but in Furmark it gives me 2 more fps jajaja, strange...in gpuz it indicates that it supports uefi.

I installed the bios with amdvbflash -f -p 0

** UPDATE 2 **

To check if the bios chip was good, I installed the "oc" bios in the "silent" bios and everything worked without problems, the PC started correctly loaded the UEFI mode and I was able to correctly display the PC setup. Later I reloaded the "silent" bios and again it was not possible to see the start of the PC. With this I feel calmer since the chip is good and it is only a problem with the bios loaded.

Sorry for my terrible English, Google is my translator.

OC mode is 1350MHz. See the card specifications: https://www.powercolor.com/product?id=1496737629#spe

Its not stange since you have repasted the GPU. Now it is running cooler therefore able to boost higher (1340MHz) without thermal throttling.
Regarding uefi, it could be that bios is modified since it is a unverified bios. Did you get an error code 43 while installing the driver?

@JohnL and @VuurVOS
The BIOS that was flashed on the Silent position is not the original one.
A silent variant of the BIOS should be lower then 1200.
1340 compared to 1350 that is the OC-ed version...i doubt that.
I will look for the correct frequency for the silent version and i will post the news here.
Cheers guys

No friend, I don't throw any kind of error or problem with the drivers.

1340MHz is the reference speed of the RX580. If you lookup the filename (I9331OAQ.SLC) you will only see 1340MHz bioses in the bios collection.

I have my doubts about the 1200MHz since it is far below reference speed and the silent bios of other RX580 cards are above the reference speed.
See an example of another PowerColor RX580 card where they listed the silent bios speed: https://www.powercolor.com/product?id=1492677805#spe

Well, i compared the freq with Sapphire which are way different with what we have here.
Ok, let me dig further.

@JohnL Can you try this bios?

Thanks very much buddy. I tried the first one and it worked without problems, now it loads the UEFI driver correctly in the PC setup

Just comment that when loading the bios I made a change in the SLC code, but apart from that detail - which by the way I don't know if it is good or bad - everything is working fine, now I am in the testing stage.

Its a filename which is used during the build of the vbios. Its different but shouldn't be a problem.

Everything works perfectly friend, the tests were satisfactory.
Thank you very much for his valuable help.
