I may not get this right away but if or as soon as I get the money, I will be buying a laptop. Budget is roughly in the range of the laptop I have selected. If you ask me why I didn't select a SSD, I will say it's because I can get a 750GB hard drive for plenty of game storage for about $400 cheaper than a 480GB SSD, but I can still be swayed on this or anything at this point, even on a brand/company other than Cyberpower PC. So anyway, here is what I'm thinking about:

http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Fang_III_-_Taipan_Gaming_Notebook/

Core i7 3740QM processor (max 3.7 GHz frequency)
16GB (8GB x 2) DDR3-1600 MHz SODIMM memory - Corsair or major brand
2x Radeon 7970M video cards
750GB 7200RPM Hard Drive
Clevo 6x Blu-Ray Reader
Windows 8 Pro 64-bit

That's a nice machine.

Where are you from?? If you are in the US,

I'd look at www.xoticpc.com. Look at this: Sager NP9370

Same laptop as that CyberPower but probably a bit cheaper. I have had mine for almost 3 years, solid as a rock still plays everything I throw at it.

"Gaming" and "laptop" never did go well with me. I always choke at the prices and figure I could get 2 better quality gaming desktops for the same price... or maybe that 40" monitor I've always wanted :) Still, each to their own!

You'd want that SSD for its speed rather than its capacity. A 128GB one does me just fine, as I only put specific things on there (such as the OS for one). I pondered over getting a 256GB one, but 128 is doing me just fine. I like fast boot times. The rest of my data sits on the slow 7200 rpm HDDs.

Don't know if you've seen these - http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-systems/razer-blade - mainly for the switchblade UI.
