So i tried to flash my ASUS RX 5700 Dual Evo to XT but im running into this error on Command Prompt where it says Error: IFWI's SSID is not same.

I am running the latest AMDVBFlash/ATI ATIFlash v5.0.567 and i also ran the AMDVBFlashDriverInstaller.exe and installed the AMD Tools Driver. Im kinda stuck on this bit... any help would come in handy :)

Is there a specific XT vbios i need to flash for it to work?

Yup you cant flash a TUF to a dual evo

Give me time to look for a compatible bios, if you can go back into GPU-Z,go the advanced tab and screenshot each category there after selecting each, some other pertnient data is there

Ok I saw a pn of your card i will look for a dual evo bios for your card 5700xt

From what I gather this is your current bios.

5700XT bios

Dual Evo Bios

115-D199PI0-100
TUF 5700XT

5700XT bios

Dual Evo Bios

115-D199PI0-100
TUF 5700XT

none of these bios worked unfortunately. And its still giving me this

You need to Force bios flashing with -f command also you need to unlock your bios first......

Something like this:

amdvbflash.exe -unlockrom 0

amdvbflash.exe -p -f 0 name.rom

But before you do this maybe you should try MorePowerTool and RedBiosEditor personally as I remember is better when you tweak/play with your original bios and then try it in MorePowerTool and see how that goes before you do the flashing .....I also assume that you know what are you doing.......GL

Unfortunately -f and -unlockrom 0 doesnt work on the latest amdvbflash version and eidairaman1 said on the forums that if you have rx 500 series (Polaris) thats the commands u wanna use but if u have rx 5000 - 7000 (Navi Series) then he recommends to use amdvbflash v3.31-5.0.567 but those two versions dont support -f and -unlockrom 0 commands anymore ;(

What bios were u flashing and can u probably get a link for it? Was it a XT Bios or.. cause I’m curious which bios u flashed. I’m not so sure but I haven’t seen many Asus RX 5700 Dual Evo OC being flashed to Xt and there might be some reason for that.

Can that version even be found anymore?

I flashed so many of them I tried XT bios on non XT 5700 but at the end the best bios(that worked for me)as that card was not such a good overclocker was my modified original bios that I tweaked in Red Bios Editor where I heavily undervolted card and limit to work under 150W also with my memory OC I remember I was using also navi curve helper to adjust my own Voltages as I remember that card was working around 0,9V on 1700Mhz.....

Can that version even be found anymore?
Here I will put that version & Navi Curve Heler on my google drive so you guys can download it if you want

AtiFlash V2.93
NaviCurveHelper

Hi. A slightly offtopic question here: are this changes compatible with secure boot?

If not, is there any way to modify a original radeon bios keeping it secure boot compatible?

I can only say from my own experience that I never have the problem under the win 11 and yes MorePowerTool is the way to go first before you decide to do the flashing as you can change everything in there and apply all new settings and after the restart your card will load that modified bios and it should work with that bios as long as you keep the same drivers after you install new divers you can load again your modded bios with MPT.....I believe you can find many tutorials on IgorsLab site Link

I see this is for RDNA only, don't?

Do you know what would be the way For GCN?

Yeah correct (MPT) actually working only for 5000 series.......When it comes to bios flashing for polaris cards you can use also RedBiosEditor or PolarisBiosEditor not sure exactly what I was using for my R9 Fury but I remember that was modding that bios also with something....
