Problem with flashing RX 5700 to an XT version.

Yeah correct (MPT) actually working only for 5000 series.......When it comes to bios flashing for polaris cards you can use also RedBiosEditor or PolarisBiosEditor not sure exactly what I was using for my R9 Fury but I remember that was modding that bios also with something....

Yes, I knew them, but understood that with it loses the secure boot compatibility...

If you are having problems flashing a bios, really recommend just using MorePowerTool which has already been mentioned.

I flashed so many of them I tried XT bios on non XT 5700 but at the end the best bios(that worked for me)as that card was not such a good overclocker was my modified original bios that I tweaked in Red Bios Editor where I heavily undervolted card and limit to work under 150W also with my memory OC I remember I was using also navi curve helper to adjust my own Voltages as I remember that card was working around 0,9V on 1700Mhz.....

Here I will put that version & Navi Curve Heler on my google drive so you guys can download it if you want

AtiFlash V2.93
NaviCurveHelper
I’ll definitely try it out thanks

Good news got my Asus RX 5700 Dual Evo to Flash to XT Version but do I need to download drivers for RX 5700 XT now since I flashed my gpu?

Well sure you can do that(DDU everything and install new) but usually they are in the same package so after the restart your card will be recognized as RX 5700XT and it will use XT driver.....Anyway your card will still have the same amount of shaders as before so in reality it's not XT it will just use higher clock speed but it will also draw more power.....Test the card and see if it's stable and how high are the temps especially hot-spot but also VRM if everything runing good and you are happy with that then leave that bios......If not then you can start to play with MPT and RBE and made your own bios with unlocking power limits to 50% and posibly undervolting the core which I actually prefer with RX 5700 but to do this you should know what are you doing if not just keep it simple and maybe just unlock power limits and you can also undervolt and OC your card later from AMD settings or MSI Afterburner.....GL

well thanks for the help and also eidairaman1 :) And yup im aware that even flashing and XT to RX 5700 wont perform same as an actual RX 5700 XT but will gain some fps.

Update: didnt need to the ddu part since AMD detected it trough Adrenalin Software and installed the RX 5700 XT drivers without doing anything so im basically good.

Last question how do u see unverified bios like these one cause i wanna see what other bios is out there.
You need to search find compatible bios here this all RX 5700 XT Link

Got some bad news, when i flashed my rx 5700 to xt. It works perfectly on pretty much every game i play but when i play a specific game like FiveM my PC hard shuts down completely after 5min of playing. Do you think it could be my power supply that i need for example 600w psu maybe?

Well yeah if whole system shut down most likely is your PSU especially if you dont have quality PSU because now your card will ask for more Wats but also could be the GPU problem because you flashed 5700xt bios on 5700 card and most of RX 5700 have weaker VRM so could be the problem in GPU power delivery or heating on core or heating on the VRM itself 'tho this mostly manifest as your PC get BSOD,freeze,restart.....

Yea true, i think im gonna Flash back to my normal bios cause some specific games dont wanna run on the flashed bios. But I’m confused I’m running a lot of games with OC settings on the XT Bios and playing just fine but some games don’t really like it and shuts my pc fully. Kinda weird

I suggest 2 you to try playing with MPT(MorePowerTool) and RBE(RedBiosEditor) but first flash your original bios back then find optimal OC and Voltages if you undervolting or OC and see where is it 100% stable then you can make your own personal bios with by using MPT&RBE ....thats how I was doing with my RX 5700 at the end my card was working on 1700 Mhz Boost but it was heavily undervolted so it was coold and quiet but also with OC memory and a bit of gpu clock.....

Is it possible to apply 5700 XT’s GPU clock, Boost clock, Memory clock & Power limit to my normal bios via MPT&RBE?

Sure YES that's what I was telling you about from my very first post....You can adjust your power limit, voltages,TDP,clock and memory also fan speed....basically everything....just first read or watch some of the videos on youtube how and what to do and first just use MPT because when you change everything you do not need to flash your bios you can apply all those changes in MPT save it and write sspt in your system so on next restart your card will load that bios and when you decide you like that bios then you can use RBE and create that bios rom so you can flashed on your card if you want......GL

Good news applied 5700 XT settings to my normal bios and it’s running stable on ALL games now + OC. Thanks again for suggesting MPT, really helpful :)

NP....Glad that I could help.....you will see it's kinda of fun to play with MPT&RBE you will learn more with time....it's a shame that does not work on 6000 series......
