Hello everyone, I have a problem with activating xmp mode on my Aorus Master x570 motherboard with 3900X.
The Ram is: Gskill F4-3600C14D-16GTZNB
Xmp does not simply boot with all the bios from the beginning, continuous bootloop then factory reboot.
With the manual values in the bios 14-15-15-15-35 1.45V It's the same 1.46V the same too.

With settings on Ryzen Master I get to boot in 14-14-14-14-28 1.45V. But 1 in 5 restarts it restarts the factory.

Can you advise me how I should proceed to have increased frequency with my ram and arrived at 3600Mhz.

Thank you

This seems to be a Gigabyte issue as I've seen it on a few of their boards now. The BIOS just simply doesn't communicate the changes to the PSP and it hits the retry cycle count and errors out to default. Ryzen Master is the only way to force DRAM clocks.

Here's a trick that I got working on a couple B450 Aorus boards; set the profile timings and MEM VDDIO (1.45v) in BIOS but leave the memory clock on Auto. Boot to Windows, load Ryzen Master. Select Profile 1 and setup your memory clock to 1800 (1:1 with fabric) and now apply your other voltage tweaks like MEM VTT, VDDCR SOC, etc if you are using those. Make sure all the timings you had set in BIOS are shown in the DRAM Timing Configuration section below that and save the profile. Now hit "Apply & Test" to restart. Wait for Ryzen Master to load up and do its little test, double check your timings are correct with AIDA, CPU-Z, or whatever your favorite application of choice is, and go about testing to see if it crashes anymore.

I wouldn't try pushing timings any lower than XMP is already set to for you RAM until you can verify that it will not crash. One step at a time, don't run before you can walk.

Ok i will try this,
For info do you have a screenshot of ryzen master for me, because they were clever to put the explanation of the timings and not the known names (cl, rcd, rp, ras, ...) And so ca m 'prevent including the right values.

Ryzen Master me donne ceci, quel conseil me donnez-vous pour les tensions que vous évoquez: (MEM VTT, VDDCR SOC, ...)

it's really very amazing even with the most basic values it bootloop and factory boot.

Sorry missed the notification. I need to go through Ryzen Master myself and double check again where the timings apply but I know what you have marked as "???" is tCWL. I have not revisited memory overclocking on the Gigabyte board because it gave me a lot of the same issues you're having now. Maybe try running at 3533/3466 and hoping it stays stable? I know it sucks to not get what you paid for (i.e. 3600 CL14) but I really think Gigabyte broke something when they rolled out their recent UEFI updates in regards to memory training and PSP configuration at boot.

yes it is very frustrating not being able to solve this problem. I have seen others with the same card running the memory but still with one year cl16 none in cl14. of apples I returned an old version 1.0 for a version 1.2 thinking a better stability at this level. I also have a Gskill Flare x 3200 cl14 memory. B-Die which it runs in xmp 3200 with no worries. so this is clearly a problem of supporting xmp mode higher frequency than 3200.

I have the same model kit but it does seem a bit different according to typhoon. Here's screenshot from typhoon and some settings from zentiming that worked well for me. I don't know how helpful this is, if at all as I'm running a B550 from another vendor.

RyzenDRAMcalculator could work a little better if you import you RAM's XMP profile in it.

DRAM_1800_Fast_28_04_2021.png

You can export it with ThaiphoonBurner after reading your RAM. Click Report next to it and all the way down make it show delays in nanoseconds.

Thaiphoon_Burner_002.png

Then click Export and Complete HTML report. That file you can import in calculator.

Forget RyzenMaster and prefer BIOS for any settings changes. Also for checking settings use ZenTimings. Take a closer look at all memory subsystem speeds and voltages, and maybe post here.

ZenTimings_007.png

There is always the chance of incompatibility. If not already, I suggest to update the board BIOS to the latest(s), as they are better with RAM compatibility.
Use at least F32 BIOS version.

If nothing works then you can try to loosen primary timings a bit to 16(s).

Also (off-topic) the ultimate system monitoring tool

Hello, I managed to stabilize 3533mhz at 1.45V
Cl14 14 14 14 28 42 instead of Cl14 15 15 15 35 1.45V

hello I managed to start in xmp with tighter timing with the advice of an experienced person:

"You should first fix the voltages.

VSOC at 1.1V and VDDP at 1100 is not good.

Set VDDP at 900mV and split VDDG CCD 950mV and IOD 1000mV.

Try with XMP profile with GDM On.

It's too high for a 3900x, you shouldn't go above 1.17V set in BIOS.

And is very likely not needed for FCLK 1800, 1.12V should be already enough.

It was probably the VDDP too high and/or the IOD too low that were blocking you for FCLK 1800"

I run in 3600 CL14 14 14 14 28 1.45V

Hi guys, same problem here.
I have Aorus x570 Master and 5900x. I use my old 32gb ram modules I switched from old X99 platform. 4 modules Gskill 3000mhz.
Xmp doesn't work in any attempt I tried, with the result that pc don't post... And if I set timing manually, same behaviour.
I don't know what to do... I'm angry to buy another ram modules...

And, if I have to buy new ram, I had to prefer 2x16gb or 4x8gb (old X99 was quad channel, x570 is dual channel)?

Thanks!
