Hi all,
just recently I installed UT2k4 on my nice new upgraded computer, and I've been having some problems. When in game, sometimes I get a delay between what I press, and when it actually does it, but while it's doing what I'd done a couple of seconds ago, I can't do anything.; which means I frequently just find myself walking off buildings and stuff. I've got the lastest patch + the ECE bonus pack + all the latest drivers for all my hardware, and I've got no clue on what I can do to try and fix it. I've already sent an email to their technical support, but I thought I'd post something here too.

btw, I was playing this on my dads computer ages ago, and had similar problems. But after downloading one of the earlier patches it fixed it. Thinking that the latest patch would also fix this, seeing as it supposedly had all the other patches incorperated into it, I only instaled that, but problems persisted.

Any ideas?

(system specs are in my sig [graphics card only at 9550 speeds though])

Your ram is fine.
If Xfire is running, close it. It screws up some games.

There's a trick to fix this. Go to a store, buy a box which says "unreal tournament 2004" and install it. This piece of software allows you to connect freely!

I hope this helps you, if you run into any problems with this contact me.

The fight against Malcolm is the final fight; once you beat him, you've won the single-player game. You do not get to fight Xan in a 1-on-1 in UT2k4 (unfortunately).

p.s. Anyone who's trying to run this game with 256MB of RAM, save yourself the trouble and get 512MB. It really helps.

Dedodido - try uninstallign the game, then installing it, then installing the patch that worked. If the problem goes away, don't update the game anymore :).
