How are teams going to work out?

Team x has 5 zillion x300se's running benchmark at 50 points per person.

50 zillion trillion points for team x.

Team y has a 9800xt running triple clockspeed on liquid nitrogen, achieving 50 zillion points.

team y has 50 zillion trillion points.


Team x = team y



If we do it that way, whoever joins my team will get started with 25 core 2 duo imacs, and around 400 optiplex GX 620's with x600se's.....

all this can be accounted for by clever formulas. we have nothing on this yet, want to get a basic website and testing app done first. once we get more data we can tweak the algorithms

I just wanted to make sure you couldn't en masse group your team up with a few admins of a few corporations and just tear the whole game up.

you cant submit identical scores which would be the case when running on many machines. if you submit a lot of different scores you will get a better ranking. but shouldnt be a #1 users because your overclocking is rather slim

I disagree with the fact that all of your scores are left with the team you submitted them with... your scores should represent you, and not your team - even though you presented the screw-you effect, this can work the other way too - you participate for a team that seems good, do a lot of work, etc, then the team leader starts acting up, cheating, whatever, and the team's reputation goes down - but your scores stay with the team, representing you.

We have to come up with an algorithm that will give more points to people overclocking well than just benching.

No, both games on the NES. The first being a remake of the MSX game and the second playing between the first 2 games on the MSX. Metal Gear is a walking tank with nukes, that's the scary boss.
