Proposed new Power Connector

im going to say it "hold me back" why not make GPUS that use less power on the hi end eh? this higher clocks more power runaway has no future i spend most my time undervolting most of me kit just to feel right with the world.
Ironically 3x8 pin pcie was already good for everything except the 5090, in which case they could have added a 4th and STILL have a better setup than anything x80 and up on 12VHPWR.

The only reason 4090's aren't failing more is because people I think aren't pushing their full wattage because it generally doesn't pay off.

If you wan't more graphics fidelity and frames

this is off topic, but I saw someone say games don't need to look better than say Cyberpunk 2077 or RDR2, and I agree with that.

No problems. Looking on Google I see some strange reports of people having cable melt without a load. Odd.
I'd guess that's a faulty cable or bent pins creating a short circuit for huge amounts of current until something else (fuse, RCD, burnt component) opens the circuit again.

The charger should be smart enough to sense the fault and cut power, but we all know that Amazon/eBay/AliExpress are full of fakes with no safety features and plenty of no-name low-quality AC adapters that lie about their features or simply have none and don't even care.
