This only highlights your lacking of understanding. The contents he purchased are intended for industrial testing and are what the US FDA uses to monitor and establish standards. They ARE the purest forms of those ingredients you can find anywhere, by deliberate design and purpose.

Lot's of them. Cooking in laboratory conditions for scientific testing is very much a difficult situation as conditions much be kept within specific parameters. Cooking FOOD is very much NOT an exactly science. But for the purpose displayed above, it needed to be. It's VERY doubtful you could do any better.
