Question about Corsair Vengeance RAM compatibility with Haswell/Z87

I've got the Maximus 6 Hero and 4670K. My location is Kolkata/India where everything is priced extremely high compared to the other metros/rest of the world. My option is basically down to this list. My choice is the Vengeance 1866 DC kit. However, corsair doesn't "officially" seem to support this kit for my system. What's your opinion? Is it good for Haswell? BTW, the Vengeance PROs aren't available in India ATM and the GSkill prices have skyrocketed. Please reply soon as I do need to test the cpu/mb and prices are likely to go up soon.

Looks ok to me. It has XMP so everything will be fine.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, "looks" OK to me too, but I've been reading bad reviews from customers, with memtest fails and BSODs, so a bit worried. Would be nice to hear from a user who actually used this with Haswell.

Have you run memtest and/or other tests on the kit? And have you tried overclocking or tweaking timings etc?

Its a strictly non overclocking rig (otherwise I would have gone for 4670K), memtest is fine. I can run a few tests for you if you want. I wouldn't be bothered to overclock the sticks though, 1150 is not that sensitive to ram unless you are running memory intensive stuff.

I guess memtest pass is good-enough for me. I WILL be OCing though. But won't bother if can't hit the next divider at same timings. Also, I wonder if it will do cl9 @ 1866 ... cl10 seems a bit too high.

Bad reviews from customers? AKA people that have no idea what they are doing, and blame it on the RAM and Corsair.

I also have the blue 1866 kit and it run and passes memtest fine on my Asus Sabertooth Z87.
As far as overclocking them, good luck, my sticks would not even get to 2000Mhz when clocking them

I think I will be satisfied-enough with 1866 if I can tighten the timings a bit. Is that doable?
