question abt lcd's

how does the driver of a monitor affect the PC or graphics? i have a SAMSUNG SyncMaster 933SN and its the first time I got an LCD monitor assuming its PnP i didnt install the driver, then I had problems running some applications...just wondering

The driver for the monitor itself should have no effect on applications. Did you do anything else besides installing the monitor?

well its a new set up so everything is. i was just wondering, anyway I started a thread abt the problem Im having in nvidia graphics forum in this site thanks for the reply
