Questions about my CPU-Z memory numbers

I have a single 2GB Crucial DDR2 667mhz stick of memory in my Acer Aspire mini D255. I ran CPU-Z on it and got some strange readings.

The memory I installed is DDR2 - in the memory tab its listed as DDR3. The rest of the tab looks correct :
CL 5.0 clocks
tRDC 5 clocks
tRP 5 clocks
tRAS 15 clocks
tRFC 44 clocks
CR 2T

On the SPD page I have a #'s that look funny too.
Its properly listed as DDR2, 2048 MB and PC2-5300. But it says 333 next to the PC2-5300 - its a 667 stick of memory. Is this something to worry about? Obviously I have little experience reading the numbers. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Max

333x2=666 As far as I know ddr stands for double-data-rate which sends data on both the up and down cycles which is 2x as fast as the older type of ram that sent data on only the rising(or falling?) edge of the clock; to make it a decent comparison the speeds are listed like equivalent throughput rather then actual speed to help keep people from thinking that a 333mhz old-and-busted-stick is as fast as a 333mhz ddr2(ddr?) stick.

You can read up on ddr2 here, but I don't feel like it... Your ram is fine, later :toast:

Btw... I have no clue why ddr2 ram is listed as ddr3

DDR2 Ram listing As DDR3

Hello there. Might be a glitch in the bios that is causing the ram to be read as ddr3 and not ddr2. Check you Motherboards Manufactures web-page for a newer bios maybe.
