Hey I have a few questions about the XFX GTX 260 (216 Core) since I'm waiting for it to arrive still xD

1. How big of a jump is it from my current card? (XFX 8800 GT Alpha Dog Edition)

2. Is it cool and quiet? Will I need to buy an after market cooler if I ain't overclocking it?

3. Will it bottleneck with my CPU? (AMD Athlon 64 X2 7750 Black Edition 3.0 GHz)

4. What kind of FPS and settings would I expect on my current resolution of 1280x1024? Will I be able to max out games like crysis on my resolution?

5. How much more FPS would I get if I overclock it?

<3 TPU Thanks

1. 8800GT is quite close to 250 GTS. I say you will gain around 10% performance with GTX 260.

2. No video cards run cool, I think. Quiet, yes, but it will run hot. You don't need an aftermarket cooler though.

3. I think so. You might want to OC it to at least 3.5ghz.

4. Best to google it. It will give you a buttload of reviews to read.

5. I don't see much point in OCing at 1280 x 1024.

It wont be that big of a jump if you're still using 1280x1024. I say it wont be worth it until you get a bigger monitor. A Phenom II would get you better FPS at that res.
