what's the real difference ?
Because adding another 100+$ for higher clock is just insane :0
Not much really although as far as I know it's not a $100 difference, more like $20
They're identical, just one is OC'd with a higher TDP. One is Curacao Pro and one is Curacao XT. Same SP's, same everything.
lol tpu showed starting price 89$ for R9 270 xD
that's about 130 - 140 $ for an R9 270
Epic price range for me
Get the 270 and OC.
The 270 only has 1x6 pin power connector while the 270x has 2x6 pin connectors. When overclocking the 270 is extremely power limited and won't clock nearly as high as a 270x. IMO, it's worth it to get the 270x.
^ Not $100 worthy (in his case). The 270 should at least get to ~1000Mhz, even with the single PCIe connector.
whats the difference between curacao and pitcairn?
You probably meant pitcairn.
Odd that gpu-z indicates it as pitcairn still.
Separate names with a comma.
