so i had some problems running my r9 290 (i have refrence one)
i runned it for 2-3 days evrything worked then sometimes it started to chrash sometimes
so i went on forums and tryed to fix it saw one post said try using diffrent port i had only one cable at the time
(DVI-D to HDMI) my monitor was dvi or vga but tv is hdmi so i used the same cable just turned around evrything worked at first but then crashes again so i found that i ahve to declock memorie it worked fine no crashes so i plugged it back to my monitor (benq GW2255) and i had no signal pluged it back to tv evrything worked fin again
what i think happend is my video card loaded setting for tv (32 inch fullhd samsung smart tv)
but it can't load back to monitor ones (that is just what i think)
so my Q is will flashing bios reset evrything?

Don't do that. Just... don't do it.

Your TV resolution is identical to your monitor's resolution (1080p), so I don't imagine the settings are remotely different besides overscanning..

The fact your 290 was crashing in the first place should have signalled for you to RMA it in the first place. I'd try a different port on your GPU/monitor, and perhaps a different cable (not a converter). Failing that, RMA your card, because it shouldn't be crashing at stock.

i tryed dvi-d to dvi-d cable tryed putting card in other system diffrent monitor still no signal
i read that the crashing is bcos of the vram that amd was saving on on refrence models for 1st month or so but then they started to use diffrent vram

If your card does not operate utterly perfectly and within normal operating perimeters at retail clock-speeds (a la, crashing randomly, not displaying for no reason), you need to RMA it.

OP, It's not your responsibility to try to fix a broken card. Is there some reason that you can't RMA it? If not then just RMA it.

i can't waranty is expired but i can't understand evrything worked before evrything happend when i pluged it to tv :(
i might just yolo and flash bios

Chances are it may be driver/CCC related. I know with my card if I unplug the Hdmi from my card that leads to the T.V. and plug it back in later it will cause the widows audio slider to crash. A system reboot will fix it. You may need to buy another cable but. Try having both your monitor and T.V. connected to the card while doing a clean driver install. then switch between displays in the control panel. This is the only way it would stop my wonkieness. I'd try this before flashing the card. You have the hdmi already and dvi are cheap enough.

i tryed plugging in bouth monitor and tv at the same time instaled fresh new driver tv works monitor doesn't in ccc monitor isn't detected at all

What card is it and how long have you had it. Most manufactures have a 3 year warranty unless there's something you not telling us. Also flashing the bios is not got to make the ports magically work. Either you have a bad cable or a bad card period. No bios is going to fix it. But you may just brick the card with no recourse and end up having to buy a new card.

If you can't understand that then you have already made up your mind to flash the card which makes this whole thread pointless.

I just checked the TPU GPU database and the R9 290 was released Nov 2013. I checked Newegg and the reference 290 has a 2 year warranty so you are still well within the warranty period.

Check the benq GW2255 on another computer before you do anything else

i bought it 2nd hand as i said evrything worked on my monitor for 2 days then i plugedit to tv and this happend

Second hand or not the card could see be under warranty as some manufactures go by serial number. Also you said the card was crashing the system before you hooked it to you tv. You also stated that it crashed after hooking to the tv and you declocked the memory and it helped. This = issues with the card and not a bios issue. Card needs to be RMA'd period. But flash if you want. It seems you are not wanting to listen to others and dismiss what they say. Why make a post asking for help then? Your card is broke and not able to run as intended.

PEBCAK .....? ..
