All technologies are the way forward until they're not. Like Vulkan and DX12.

Oh, I remember in the days of Fury when we were told all games will become DX12. Still, 3 years on? Hasn't really happened. This is Nvidia's turn at predicting the gaming future.

Frankly, I have no idea....
DX12 was backed by the biggest OS maker & Vulkan by Khronos & both are industry standards as well as IHV independent. DLSS is Nvidia only, for now, we'll see whether RTX & DLSS gain traction the way some think they will - probably too easily just because it's Nvidia?

AMD won't divulge their inventory stream.
No one's asking them to.
However, it's very feasible there are low inventory levels.
Not that low. 20 cards total for a whole country? Total BS.
The card is arguably a barely break even, PR product.
You can't know that for fact.
Remember, 16GB of HBM2 is not cheap.
But it's also not any more difficult to make that standard GDDR5 or GDDR5X.

If it has 2080ish performance, 70 EUR less for twice the amount of VRAM is pretty nice and it will sell out quick.

HAHAHA. I love it. People will tell themselves anything.

I mean, the first half of that statement we likely won't know but I think the second half is pretty valid. How many damaged MI50/60 chips have they compiled in the time that 7nm has been shipping?

That was basically my point. The total supply is going to be the X number of cards that failed the MI50/60. I don't expect that to be a large number at this time.

AnandTech's review has dropped and Radeon VII is almost as fast as GTX 2080, but of course hotter and louder and hungrier. Vega take two, in other words... as if anyone but the fanboys expected anything else.

MSI RTX 2080 Ventus for 688 EUR on Amazon.de
Neither is 600-ish and neither comes with 3 games.
