Raidmax today introduced the X08, a quasi-open air ATX mid-tower chassis. A collection of stamped out sheet-metal bolted to tempered glass side panels, the X08 holds a standard ATX motherboard with 7 add-on card slots. Its motherboard tray has room for graphics cards up to 40 cm in length, and CPU coolers up to 15 cm in height.

There are no drive cages as such, and you're left to mount 2.5-inch drives along the spinal panel with the motherboard tray. The only fan mounts are three 120 mm along the top panel, letting you install a 360 mm x 120 mm radiator there. Front-panel connectivity includes a pair of USB 3.0 ports, and HDA jacks. The case measures 610 mm x 255 mm x 525 mm (LxWxH). The company didn't reveal pricing.

I've never seen a Raidmax case I've like but this is fugly.

Well, what can I say. I'm quite away from pc hardware market for over 7 years now, but I just can't stand how ugly the desing is nowadays... :(

The Raidmax lettering on the glass gives it an ultra premium feel.

That's sarcasm, just in case you didn't pick up on it

y U k....

Looks like yet another Transformers barfed up abortion gone wrong......

And to make it worse, no USB C on the front... f.A.i.L.....

opencase, add glass, add RGB, add dust

There was a big explosion in the Raidmax factory, and all their cases were blown apart. To recoup some of their losses, they spot-welded case parts together, stuck some glass on the side, and the X08 was born.

hahahaha......so funnnnny, ROTFLMAO :D  :fear:

Kudos to Raidmax for something innovative and certainly appropriate to some use cases. I'd have too much trouble with dust, but this is cool to see. I hope it sells enough to warrant their boldness.

people came all makers copy each other designs, the raidmax came with this, just to make sure no body is gonna copy that, well done raidmax, pioneer on ugly open cases 2018

pioneer on ugly open cases 2018

If mining takes off again, heck, could work.

Come on, I can't be the only one thinking that?

well ... they are really not the first on that shape and design ... but HEY the Conquer is not ugly! (okay okay, to each his own ;) )

way more innovative than Raidmax, but also pricier tho the mATX version made my etailer drop the price of the full sized one by halfo_O almost want one ... but my work environement is too dusty
