Hi everybody,
Premise: this is my first AIO and my first water cooling. Can someone help me or suggest me? :)
I bought a Raijintek Triton AIO 240mm, here more specifications: http://www.raijintek.com/en/products_detail.php?ProductID=18

Now I would like:
1) - Change the original fans with other fans where the condition of these new fans is the silent. Can you suggest me a couple of silent fans for this radiator?
2) - It is this AIO (the pomp) capable to manage another water block for my gtx 660ti?

Thanks in advanced guys.

Most AIOs that cool multiple parts have two pumps, one on each device. Could it work? possibly, but I don't think the results will be all that great. Also is that 660ti really hot enough to warrant water cooling it in the first place? Also there is the warranty voiding factor, and having a block designed to take 1/2" fittings being reduced down to whatever the ID of that Triton is.

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)
This pump, at 120L /hr is weak out of the gate. Optimally, you want 1.5 GPM flow or you lose efficiency. If my math is right, that is 30GPH and .5 GPM??

I wouldn't add anything to it.

And if the scope is not to overclock cpu and vga?

I posted that without even thinking about overclocking.

A 'general' rule of thumb is 1x120mm worth of radiator for every 100W you are sending to it. At stock, your CPU is 95W under full load. The GPU is 150W under full load. THat is 240W. So while it will work, radiator capacity wise, your temps may not be as good as they 'should' be under water... especially if you are going for quiet.

Again, I am more concerned about the abilities of that pump over the radiator.

And for the fans? Do you have some suggestions?
temporary, I think to use the NF-P14 and NF-P12 from my NH-D14

Benchmark Scores bench...mark? i do leave mark on bench sometime, to remember which one is the most comfortable. :o
i have the Triton i use it mod'ed but my GPU is on a separate loop and i wouldn't use the Triton for doing a single loop with both on it.

my current setup involve shorter clear tubing (13/10 OD/ID) a NexXxos ST30 240 full copper and 2 Alphacool Coolmove 2 fans, which surprisingly enough are not too loud even at full rpm

i don't know about the coolmove disponibility for you but if you can find some, they are quite nice.

otherwise well ... EKWB Vardar have my preference or any fan with a good CFM (aka not the one that you use on a air heatsink/tower (depending the type)

he just do it, which doesn't meant it's a great idea anyway, the rule for radiator is 1x120+(optional)120 per block for me which explain why if i go single loop 240mm are the minimal (360mm minimal for 2 block if i stick to it), if i use a 480mm later ... maybe i will go single loop.

albeit, with a universal gpu block i would gladly see the VRM and vRAM temperatures just for the joke...
nope the Triton is not a "expendable" AIO unlike EKWB or Swiftech AIO's i've learned it doing custom loop and using AIO's, the Triton is my 2nd "expendable" one, the 1st was a Alphacool Eisberg 240 (CoolerMaster) and no AIO with reservoir and pump integrated to the block have a sufficient enough pump (or well they can but the pump will break after some time, like a Eisberg 120 i had )

the Triton is a great AIO for me, but only for the customization possibility, because 1. the factory tubing sucks (too stiff too long too opaque ) 2. the radiator is not good at all ( no separation between the inlet/outlet, aluminum, fixed fittings) tho for the price it's nice (got it in core version without fans for 78chf )

oh and about that vid .... if you attempt that : be prepared to have a noisy computer ;) (not that water-cooling mean silent computer ... only "passive" mean silent computer.)

on my rig i have 6 fans and only 2 are "silent" type xD (the aforementioned coolmove 2)

interesting video nonetheless

I understood your opinion, it is very clear with clear explanations :).

The Alphacool Eisberg 240 was my second choice, I preferred Triton for the transparent tubing and for the performance/budget.
So, this is my first water cooling and after your explanations (and of the other people),I think that it is not necessary to try also with the vga. :D

For the fans, your suggestion is cool, the coolmove 2
have best price but is it possible that they have only 10 db? Maybe is it the min value or not?
http://www.alphacool.com/shop/luefter/luefter/17708/alphacool-coolmove-2-1800rpm-120x120x25mm

I find also the Corsair SP120 PWM Quiet Edition, they seem good:

Sorry for this question, it is possible to use the radiator with no fans and without to compromise cpu temperature?:D

for the fans

well i have 2 SP120L but performance edition on the Phobya rad for the gpu loop, no matter what they say at any RPM i can hear them (unless under 1200rpm)

the coolmove 2 are quiet (well with a max of 1300rpm/1800rpm they can be) and i would need to disable all the 6 other fan (including the ram cooler) to tell if they are 10dB at 1800rpm  tho if i put my hear near any fan the Coolmove 2 are the one that have the less annoying noise (again i keep all of them at max rpm )

and on the AIO well i did choose the Triton for the same reason ;) i keep my Eisberg for testing purpose.

but again don't go with misconception: watercooling isn't quiet ... far from it, the most loud cpu cooler around are the AIO's .... watercooling is a mean to displace the heat evacuation away from the component, not a mean to do a quiet build, otherwise you go passive or sound isolated/dampened cases

oh i forgot, nope .... no watercooling is possible without fan.

one question remain .... why with a rig like that you want silent? maybe sell it go for a i3 (haswell low power like a 4130T 2c/4T ) a passive solution or a oversized air cooler with a low rpm fan and a passive cooled gpu or even a 750Ti, you can run nearly any actual games at 1080p on that (it's roughly my HTPC configuration altho not passive ;) )

I am confused. The 1800-rpm version has a declared volume of 10.0 dB (A). The 1300-rpm version has a declared volume of 23.0 dB (A) with a range from 20 to 29.9 dB (A)
How is it possible? 1300 rpm must be better in terms of sound.

I have just found this other fan: http://www.akasa.com.tw/update.php?...=Fans&type_sub=Ultra Quiet Fan&model=AK-FN058 it sound good:)

Yes I know, but I’d like to try the water cooling with a correct compromise with the quiet.:)

nope both are rated 10dB in their respective rpm (digitec list the 1300rpm as a 10dB ) also the profiling of the blades do a lot, furthermore: even up to 30dB is silent.
you seek and think too much, i tested a lot of fans including the Apache, none of them were silent, but i am also tolerant to a Cooler Master JetFlo 120 at 2200rpm and less than 30cm from my head ...
for the Apache, 57cfm not really a water cooling type fan, a air fan yep... tho it has a higher static pressure than the coolmove 2, the coolmove 2 have also the best price/noise/perf ratio and Alphacool is a watercooling brand if that matter a little.
and
Application PC case or heatsink fan

Yes I know, but I’d like to try the water cooling with a correct compromise with the quiet.:)
there is no correct compromise. your rig is not adapted to be a quiet one, water cooling or not. or i should write, compromise doesn't exist, i rather go with low temperature (thus better component longevity) and high noise than high temperature and low/nil noise

the Triton is already good enough stock

altho indeed changing the fans is a good idea and in your case : coolmove 2 1300rpm would be fine (since you want low noise and high temps... ;) ) since the stock fan are just awful, which explain why i like the fact that they did a "Core" edition with no fans.

Benchmark Scores bench...mark? i do leave mark on bench sometime, to remember which one is the most comfortable. :o

@Ergastolano

official site or not .... if the 1800rpm is rated 10dB the 1300 can't e higher ... Alphacool seems to have likely committed an error on their own website, also even if their range is 20 to 29.9dB (which is a bit more believable for either speed, than 10dB) : they are silent enough ... 30dB is not loud at all it's even considered as quiet technically : Whisper Quiet Library at 6' 30dB
reference from http://www.gcaudio.com/resources/howtos/loudness.html

and no compromise is my compromise ;)

my Thermalright HR-02 Macho rev.A BW with a TY-147 @ 1300rpm was quieter than any of the AIO i ever had :p if i want silence over temperatures i go air cooling  well even the temp were correct although.

welll didnt read all specs but didnt find anything that claims or says to be expandable, i guess that may be better to get a custom loop over this AIO...

that issue has already been solved pal ;) now he's on "silent" fan to replace the horrid one bundled with the Triton (like i did)

he can also do as i do and go dual loop if he has time for it and space in the case, well time is relative ... all my change and test on my main rig took less than a day (counting bleeding and leak test)

that’s interesting to know, but still prefer a custom for other devices such as video card and more hardware to chill
I use an AIO for chilling my CPU no more than that!

that's exactly what i do: Triton mod'ed on the CPU and a custom loop for my Poseidon (i still find funny that my rig has, by a pure coincidence, the father and son in it ... ahah  )

using external waterpump... tuning...
if my water 3.0 dies i will reuse some parts... that's fine to reuse or mod it... but a perfectly working AIO makes no sense...to mod or customize or upgrade...

crossreading? much? :)

my Triton use no external pump ... nor any other upgrade other than 2 short clear tubing, 2 better fans and a full copper radiator :p
the other GPU loop is separate from it and come from a initial custom loop i did back in the days.

and i already stated why i needed to mod it : aluminum radiator and merged inlet/outlet area and noisy fans :D

check the pics again ;) specially Nr 2
ok the price worth are on level of a H110i GT but perf are also on good now, plus with the reselling of the unneeded parts of the original AIO i even lowered the price under the initial price.

the main argument of the Triton is indeed customization it's not really a AIO, tubes are too long? shorten them, too opaque? well put some clearer, Rad is a cheap version of other AIO's standard? replace it with something else (that i've already got in my spare box)
that's where the computer start to be fun for some ... or is just a bother for some other ;)

Hi guys,
Finally, I have my first liquid cooling :D

As fans I used a pair of Akasa APACHE Black.
