hi all,
recently i started using raptr which keeps record of gaming hours and achievements(some games support it for achievements).
do anybody else use it or are there more applications like it?
well add me if u r on raptr:mafia97

Its actually just like Xfire. In fact, the original person who made Xfire to start with originally sold it (then it got sold again 2 or 3 tims) and now his project is Raptr.

And what is the use of this, other than showing off how much time you've wasted?
I mean I understand Achievements and I like the concept of this, but showing off gaming hours well...

I used it for a bit, but it ended up causing a really bad issue that stopped me from using it, I just can't remember what it was.

As far as showing off game hours, thats never been anything I have really shown off, but it was something I liked to know for myself, how many hours I have into game X.

ya i read on raptr site about the ex founder of xfire is involved in this.
i also like seeing how much time i spent on a game(nothing to show off about),some games provide for it natively, for else there is raptr.
and they are increasing the support for achievements as well.

I don't use it. Don't see the point really.

It allows you to talk to your friends while in game. Thats really the whole point of it.

Yeah, cause nothing before it could.

The threads about who uses it and applications like it, not if you think it's pointless lol. Odds are if you do, you are using Steam, which is just about the same chat wise, this just ties more things together and adds hour tracking for non-Steam games.

Only Xfire and Raptr and recently Steam. Thats it. Xfire was first.

I was actually referring to the "talk to your friends" bit. I use teamspeak for that. I've lost plenty of games on DVD's and CD's over the years to scratches etc, so having it all on steam is quite nice. Which is why I have it. I can actually by stuff on steam. Though I never tried raptr, i did try xfire back when it first came and i was like "uhh.. what's it for?".. Oh well.

It's the same concept as text messaging, you got things to say, but not enough to hold a conversation. Or, like many times I am holding a conversation with 2 different people who don't know each other. Or with 2 people I would just rather have separate conversations with rather than one group conversation.

ya kurgan is right,i dont use steam thats why i like raptr.
does xfire does the same things raptr does?
because i really like achievements and raptr doesnt support many games.

Xfire IS raptr.

Xfire IS raptr.

No it's not, xfire is the predecessor to Raptr. It doesn't support achieve's, it doesn't support friends list accross Steam, PSN, Xlive, and other programs. And I'm pretty sure Raptr has more additional features.

and ya raptr is still in its initial stages, updates might bring more goodness
