Razer Introduces the Firefly Gaming Mousepad with Customizable Lighting FX

LED mouse pad....I did not see this one coming, but I should've known. Now, one can have a rainbow keyboard and a matching mouse pad.... Well played Razer, well played. I am eager to get the sales figures, to be fair. See if this product's gonna fly.

well it's not like Razer did something new .... ok Chroma ... but that's all ... just the range of color. between 5$ and 30$ for most and also some double as USB hub or card reader or even multimedia station... utterly useless? yes but at last they do something more than giving just a color range and they don't need synapse for it ... (ok my Roccat gears need Roccat Talk ... but as i had both solution ... i know which one is better and less invasive o_O ) yes ... yes on the 1st one you have a Windows XP logo... (it was around the time i thought Razer was good ... until i bought my 1st product from them ... a Razer Diamonback well it was better than now for sure ... but the Logitech Wingman mouse was still better)

at last with Chinese you know that you have for your money, worth .... 5$ you don't expect them to pass the month, Razer on the other hand .... you are surprised that after only 3 weeks and 2 days you already need to RMA a 79.49€ product

wow a camp mouse pad. all we need next is some dancing unicorns how pretty.

Now, one can have a rainbow keyboard and a matching mouse pad....
Next will be rainbow LED's from your Monitors bezel, doesn't matter if you can't see the screen.

won't even consider getting that glorified glowing mat.... I'll stick with my Corsair Gaming mat. cheap, light, doesn't hinder mouse movements & of course, no annoying LED side lighting. =D

Other major manufacturers also have custom light mods on their peripherals, so I don't understand why you are complaining so much about Razer who managed to do this very nice via Synapse.
They're all about customizable and ergonomic gear. What's so wrong with the Chroma campaing?

It's my personal preference I guess. I never saw the value in lighting in general (hurts my eyes/distracts me), let alone customization.

look like the mouse cable will jam to that top black bar . :shadedshu:

Yes, you would think it be at the side but i guess you would have to wait for that idea come to mine on top of waiting for it be changeable from one side to another for a extra $40 of what should of been in the 1st place.

I be surely sticking with my SS glass mat which are very hard to come by now.

It is true that wrist pad would've been perfect. I'm still using the Razer Vespula for that main reason.
well ... a Vespula doesn't even scratch the quality build of a Roccat Alumic and that even if he's 10chf (Swiss francs) more (well now luckily he's only 2chf more) ... oh yes ... he scratch ... himself (CF: reference to my Destructor who destructed only himself)
i got both ... only the Alumic survived. (and the wristrest was more comfortable too)

I actually like the idea, so pls stop hating xD
Razer is notorious for ... oh well whatever.

nothing wrong about Chroma... Razer on the other hand it's another problem, i had my load of Razer gear (mainly for testing) what i left with is a bunch of unusable stuff (well my Electra is still in one piece but i don't use it often) and a desk set made of a Roccat Alumic, Tyon black, Ryos TKL Pro, Roccat use Roccat Talk but it's not like Synapse also the only thing i am connected to is Roccat Grid which has his use with my Shield Tab (the Tyon is also a "Chroma" type of mouse but there is some evident difference with any Razer mouse i had)

technically only Razer is the problem in Razer's gears  ;)
due to them, it has become a rule for me that if a peripheral or a piece of hardware need more than 2 RMA in less than 3 month : better put it aside.

80€+taxes for this crap is beyond stupidity.
