Couple of years back i started doing the whole arcade stick thing, got really into capcom vs dc and the newest street fighter arcade edition. Went to some places, met a lot of amatuers and some borderline pros. I can guarantee not a single serious person will buy one of these. Only somebody hoping to look good in that scene, then get laughed at by all the other people that built their arcade sticks from the ground up.

It's easy to make these with a spare 360 pad, box, wires, switches.

I've been to many fighting game tournaments. Most of the players that use sticks BUY them. You see tons of MadCatz and Hori sticks. No one is going to laugh at anyone buying a Razer especially when Razer sponsors some of the players and this stick has the same parts as all of the other high end sticks (Sanwa controls).

It's a bit much to compare the quality of the Razer to that Hori model stick(top of the line)... i'd take that Hori stick over the Razer any day, even if the Razer costed $100. The Razer housing looks like its is completely made of plastic. Razer just did what many gamers have been doing for over a decade, putting premium hardware into crappy housings. Then their are those that didn't like the crappy housings built their own or bought high end sticks from Japan... actually, the Madcatz Premium stick was pretty well built. I have a stick with the same hardware as the Razer that cost me less than $75 to buy and mod.
