I've been busy again today and i've made this patch for old but good game "Re-Volt". It's a RC cars racing game, sort of like Micro Machines, but much better in my opinion. Graphics are still awesome even by today's standards, awesome physics, really cool worlds to drive through and also a track editor, something you don't even see anymore these days.
Anyway, the problem with game was compatibility since it was designed for Windows 98. It had various issues on modern systems ranging from premature race starts (when the camera was still facing in wrong direction during start countdown), game lockups on startup, game crashes on startup, non functional Track Editor because of the missing files that were only available on old operating systems.
From my testing, i have managed to solve them all, except making in-game music functional. It just refuses to play (though all the other audio effects are there). I'll keep on working on that, but in the mean time you can play the music using media player and just play the music in the background. Not the same, but it works. The music is in Audio CD format on the game disc.
