Realtek Modded Audio Driver for Windows 10/11 - Only for HDAUDIO

just as an FYI for people that use Soundblaster X-fi MB5, the recent Cummulative Win11 Update broke the App for me.
It could no longer "find a suitable Audio device". I reinstalled the package (without updating the drivers) and everything works as before.

Hi, @AAF Optimus, how do I activate the Realtek ASIO feature in the Tweak-Tool for using in the mmsys.cpl? I can select it in the Sound-Device-Picker from AIMP, but I can't find it in Windows for selecting

you can't. it's by design (aka. expected behavior)

the realtek asio options are accessed thru certain audio apps like AIMP and Foobar2000 if the realtek asio driver is installed

I know from experience cuz I use Foobar2000 to access those realtek asio features from the playback/output/asio section of foobar2000 and choosing the realtek asio driver from there
 
Hello everyone and good night! I kindly ask device owners that have USB-based Realtek chips (Example: ALC4080 and others) to send me the hardware IDs of those chips for each of their systems via PM so I can include them in the driver. I'm starting a complete redesign work on the package based on Realtek drivers.

I am new to this field and hop over this optimized driver and are very curious for a better sound quality.
So, I've got a few questions, maybe a few of you can answer them:
  1. What is the difference between the Microsoft and the Realtek optimized driver? I mean, I understand that one is using the Microsoft driver but is one of them better or can one not tell this?
  2. I've using ALC1150 chip on a Gigabyte Z170 Gaming K3. Also, I have an ASUS Xonar DX which is not covered by this driver. Previously, I used the Xonar for headphones and the ALC1150 chip for microphone since the Xonar got some buzzing whenever I played games (which comes from the graphic card).
  3. Do you know if the Xonar better than the ALC1150 with those optimized driver?
  4. Yesterday, I got those dts license activated but today those licesenses seems to be gone. Any one familiar with this problem?

Here Are Answers:

1) The Microsoft Generic (High Definition Audio) Is The Default Audio Device Windows Will Use When It Cant Detect A Compatible Driver For Your Audio Or If You Choose It, Sound Quality Is Similar To Realtek Just Less Processing Meaning Less Latency And Very Slightly Worse Audio Quality Due To Less Processing, On The Other Hand Realtek Is Similar To The Microsoft Generic But This Driver Comes With Extra Processing Meaning More Latency But Better Audio (Depends On Which Driver You Chose), Some People Prefer The Generic Over Realtek But Most Prefer The Realtek One.

2) I Didn't Understand What You Meant (Read Down)

3) I Would Prefer The Xonar But As You Said It Has A Buzzing Sound (I'm Confused About The Graphics Card Part) So Then Use The ALC1140 Tho Its Very Old So It Clearly Depends On Preferance.

4) And For The DTS License Part I Need To Ask Did You Buy DTS Or Using This Driver If Driver I Suggest Using A Old Driver Or Use The Microsoft Driver By Alan Old Driver.

DTS Ultra doesn't allow me to turn it on , atmos works normally. alc s1200a
Edit:When opening dts sound unbound audio definitvely changes to the auto preset.
Edit:2 reinstalling didn't solve it either.

Any way of fixing it ? (excluding formating the OS)
 
Oh so Nahimic allows HRTF customization now, this is interesting.
But is it like Waves Nx that asks for head size and ear to ear distance with a measurement tape, or something like Embody Immerse that asks for a picture of the ear?

I also have a problem with the Realtek ASIO driver, maybe you or someone else may know what is the issue and how can it be solved.
Codec: Realtek ALC 1220
Used software: Foobar2000, Sound Forge.
Error messages: Unrecoverable playback error: Could not set sample rate to X Hz, Sample rate/or bit depth not supported by the output device.
I tried various sample rates( also set in advanced options for sound devices) without success.
I installed an older Realtek driver(2018.04.25) for my motherboard (GA-AX370-Gaming K7) and ASIO or DSD passthrough work ok.

Even a further Member, who's doin' with ASIO... How can I select this as an Audio-Device w/o 3rd-Party-Tools?

Partially Reworked Driver Pack

ATTENTION: You will need to uninstall the currently installed version before continuing with this installation. A condition has been imposed for this due to problems reported by some users.

ATTENTION: Before installing this modified driver, be sure to remove any and all residues from previous Realtek audio drivers or even if there are residues from previous versions of my mods, if they persist. For this you will need the DriverStoreExplorer (by @lostindark). Remove any drivers whose vendor is "Realtek", "A-Volute", "Dolby", "DTS", "Creative", "AAF Optimus", etc in the Sound, Video and Game Controllers, Extensions, Software Components and Audio Processing Objects categories.

Those who want only Realtek material, just choose the panel option (HDA or UAD) and deselect the rest.

CLARIFICATION: Due to some accusations against me for allegedly including types of viruses or including fraudulent codes for data collection, cryptocurrency mining and other purposes, from now on, when the installation of the packages is finished, a copy of the original script in text file format on Desktop. In this file, the user will have full knowledge of the procedures that I have included in the installer.

For some reason the option for customizing surround in Nahimic is greyed out. Also, I had to install the app manually since selecting in the set-up doesn't have an effect

This function is only for Headphones.
 
Damn did not work on my MSI MAG Z790 either. Still says Realtek usb 2.0 driver. Any advice on how i shall proceed?
Really appreciate some advice!

Hi, do you know any of these modified drivers that amplify the maximum volume of the SPDIF output for my Z690 board with ALC1200A codec? The APO equaliser application does not amplify it enough.

If I already have Dolby Digital, DTS and Pro Logic 2 enabled in this driver, all the better. Something like this (post 206):

I've been trying to find something for several months and there is no way, maybe I'm expressing myself badly or I don't know how to search correctly since English is not my language :(. Back in the day I downloaded these drivers from "optimus" and they don't amplify enough the maximum volume of my SPDIF output, I remember in my previous Z370 board that with the drivers I put before the sound was much higher, I don't know if it was because of the drivers themselves, or the chip-codec that mounted that board (Asus z370 E-Gaming) was better than the current one (asus z690 TUF D4).

I noticed Alan about with USB\VID_0DB0&PID_36E7&MI_00 from MSI MPG B650I EDGE WIFI
Check may be your ALC4080 have same HWID
if not - PM Alan
